CL's full-length album "ALPHA" might be coming out soon!
In the July issue of W Korea published on June 21, the former 2NE1 leader sported the collection of world-famous designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. In addition to that, CL teased her upcoming solo comeback with the release of her full-length album "ALPHA."
CL Plans to Release Her Full-Length Album "ALPHA" This Summer
During the interview with W Korea, CL shared that she is currently working on the finishing touches of her full-length album, "ALPHA."
K-pop's "Baddest Female" added that she created a team, called "Very Cherry," who will help her in the album creation.

CL went on to say that the original plan was that her "ALPHA" album should have been released at the end of November last year.
However, when she started working, she noticed a lot of things that she still has to understand.
She further stated that there were several kinds of stuff that she had to learn while working in a team.
In November last year, CL announced that she will postpone the release of her "ALPHA" album since new ideas and opportunities have been coming her way.

The former 2NE1 main rapper also said that she decided to delay the album release as she wants to give the best to the fans, which she calls GZBs.
CL then told W Korea that she plans to launch her full-length album "ALPHA" this summer.
"ALPHA" is CL's first-ever studio album. The female idol pre-released two singles "HWA" and "5 STAR." She also dropped a promotional single, titled "Post Up."

CL's 2021 Activities So Far
While finishing her "ALPHA" album, CL is also carrying out solo activities this year.
In February, CL released a digital single, titled "Wish You Were Here" on the day of her birthday, 26. CL's "Wish You Were Here" is a tribute to her mother, Hong Yoo-Ra, who passed away just a month prior because of a heart attack.

In May, it was announced that CL will appear on the second season of JTBC's variety show "Super Band" as a producer.
"Super Band" was first broadcasted in 2019 and is the third music program released by JTBC after "Hidden Singer" and "Phantom Singer." This audition show encourages musicians from all genres and around the world to gather and create "super bands" and compete with one another.
In addition to CL, other new judges for the variety show are Yoo Hee Yeol and Lee Sang Soon. "Super Band 2" premiered on June 21.
In early June, CL graced the cover page of the German magazine, named "032c," becoming the first-ever Korean artist to be featured in the said publication.
On June 16, CL made a cameo appearance on the first episode of the second season of the television show, "Dave."
In the episode, CL collaborated with rapper Dave on his new song "Korea" as the latter decides to break into the K-pop market.
