Lee Soo Man shares what we can expect from the different NCT units this year.

On June 29, KST, SM Entertainment's founder and executive producer, Lee Soo Man, hosted an online event called "SM CONGRESS 2021," where the members of NCT and aespa made an appearance to talk about what we can expect from their groups for the remainder of the year.

Lee Soo Man Shares Promotion Plans for NCT Units for the Remainder of 2021

During the event, NCT members Mark, Kun, and Doyoung appeared to represent the group and their respective units, where they talked with Lee Soo Man regarding their group's future promotions.

Lee Soo Man first acknowledged NCT's achievements this year and last year, "Last year was a year in which NCT was highlighted. We were able to set a record of three million album copies [sold] during NCT 2020. This year, NCT Dream had surpassed two million album copies. It's a tremendous record. Congratulations."

Doyoung, who is part of NCT U and NCT 127, then revealed what can be expected this year and their plans. According to Doyoung, they plan on continuing their activities that will show their group identity as NCT. He then revealed that NCT Dream would be having their promotions for a repackaged album soon, and NCT 127 will be making a comeback with a full regular album and a repackaged album as well.

"WayV will be returning with promotions soon, and we are also planning for a new NCT U formation, I think Czennies can look forward to it," added Doyoung.

Kun, who is part of WayV and NCT U, further explained tha WayV will be having a variety of promotions for the remainder of the year, beginning with unit promotions and ending with the release of a full album.

Upcoming NCT Hollywood and NCT 2021

Lee Soo Man also brought up the topic of NCT Hollywood, one of the label's current projects. According to Lee Soo Man, NCT Hollywood is not an NCT unit that is made up of actors. Mark then explained the unit in more detail, stating that they need to select new members to join the group and to do that, they have partnered up with MGM, the biggest production company in America. MGM is also known to have produced the popular reality series "The Voice" and "Survivor."

With MGM, SM Entertainment will be selecting members for NCT Hollywood through hosting an audition program. Doyoung added that those who become selected through the audition program will be able to receive the producing of Lee Soo Man, as well as become the America team of NCT.

"I'm nervous about becoming a mentor and sharing my expertise as a member of NCT who debuted, but I am also looking forward to it," shared Doyoung.

Lee Soo Man also said that the collaboration between MGM and SM Entertainment with the audition program will mark the latter label's first-ever publicized audition program.

Doyoung shared more plans of NCT, saying that they are currently preparing for promotions that fans have been waiting for. Following NCT 2020, the group will be promoting NCT 2021. Mark reveals that they are currently preparing various contents that will reveal NCT's concept universe, which has remained a mystery until now.

"So let us meet in KWANGYA soon," said Mark.
