These are the TOP 10 Female Idols People Want to Hear Sing a Summer Song

From June 23 to June 30, Choeaedol held a poll titled "Which female idols' summer songs do you want to listen to the most?" Keep on reading to see the top 10 female idols fans chose.

The poll amassed 52,618 votes.

10. Girls' Generation Yoona

Girls' Generation member Yoona received 10,144 votes, snagging the 10th place spot.

Yoona debuted as a soloist on May 30, 2019, with the mini-album "A Walk to Remember." Released to celebrate her 29th birthday, "A Walk to Remember" was the fastest-selling album in its first 24 hours by a Korean female soloist at the time. However, she has not made a comeback since.

9. TWICE Tzuyu

Tzuyu, TWICE's visual and lead dancer, amassed 10,190 votes and ranked at ninth place.

While Tzuyu has not made her solo debut, the idol recently released her first Melody Project and covered Taylor Swift's "ME! (feat. Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco)" with Stray Kids' member Bang Chan.

8. TWICE Nayeon

Fellow TWICE member Nayeon also made the top ten, ranking at number eight with 10,773 votes.

Nayeon has also not made her solo debut, but she had also released her first solo Melody Project back in December 2020. The idol released a cover of Ariana Grande's "Love is Everything," which earned love from fans.

7. (G)I-DLE Yuqi

(G)I-DLE member Yuqi took home seventh place with 11,328 votes.

The (G)I-DLE member debuted as a soloist on May 13, 2021, with the debut single album "A Page." The single album contains the singles "Giant" and "Bonnie & Clyde." Besides being the soloist singing, Yuqi also helped co-write and co-compose "Giant."

6. Red Velvet Irene

Red Velvet's "original visual" Irene ranked at sixth place with 12,512 votes.

While Irene has not made her solo debut, the idol has featured in songs outside of Red Velvet. In 2019, she featured in Raiden's song "The Only." In 2021, she released her first solo OST, "A White Night," for her film "Double Patty."

5. BLACKPINK Jennie

Snagging the fifth-place spot is BLACKPINK member Jennie with 18,323 votes.

Jennie debuted as a soloist in 2018 with her single "SOLO." The song was a huge hit, achieving a triple crown and winning the "Digital Bonsang" at the 34th Golden Disc Awards. However, the idol has not made a solo comeback since, and fans are anticipating when she does!

4. IU

IU is the only female idol who is not from an idol group that made the top ten. She ranked in fourth place with 19,887 votes.

Known as "The Nation's Little Sister' and "The Nation's Sweetheart," IU is one of the most well-loved soloists in South Korea. She made her comeback on March 25 with "LILAC." It was a domestic success, topping the Gaon Album Chart. In addition, all songs from the album ranked in the top 30 on the Gaon Digital Chart.

3. BLACKPINK Rosé

Taking home the third-place spot is none other than BLACKPINK's Rosé. She received 22,002 votes.

Rosé debuted as a soloist on March 12, 2021, with the single album "-R-." The album was a massive success worldwide, with the title track "On The Ground" peaked at number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100. The said song also peaked at number one on the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.

2. BLACKPINK Lisa

BLACKPINK's main dancer, maknae Lisa, ranked at second place with 22,075 votes.

Back on April 19, 2021, YG Entertainment revealed that Lisa would be the third member to debut as a soloist from the group. While it is unsure what genre or style she will take on, fans are hoping for a summer song that matches her passionate energy.

1. BLACKPINK Jisoo

Topping this poll is the one and only Jisoo of BLACKPINK! The idol received 26,413 votes.

While it is confirmed that Jisoo will be making her solo debut, the idol has yet to start preparations. Currently, she is busy working on her drama, "Snowdrop," where she plays the female lead. The drama is set to be released in 2021.
