EXO Becomes the Third K-pop Group in History to Have Multiple Albums with Over 1 Million Copies Sold on Hanteo Chart

EXO has obtained another impressive milestone on the Hanteo Chart with their special album, "Don't Fight the Feeling"!

On July 7, EXO sold 1,987 more copies of "Don't Fight the Feeling" on the Hanteo Chart. With these additional sales, the album has now sold more than one million copies on the chart.

EXO Joins BTS and SEVENTEEN as the Only K-pop Group to Have Multiple Albums with Over 1 Million Copies on Hanteo Chart

According to Hanteo Chart, EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" has now sold a total of 1,000,600 copies as of July 7. This is the group's second album to exceed one million copies.

The boy group's first album to achieve this mark on Hanteo is their 2018 release, "Don't Mess Up My Tempo."

Throughout 2018, EXO's "Don't Mess Up My Tempo" recorded more than 1.6 million copies on the Hanteo Chart.

This means the nine-piece boy group now has two albums that have reached the million mark on the said chart.

Because of this, EXO has become the third K-pop group in history to have more than one album with over one million copies calculated on the Hanteo Chart.

The first two K-pop acts to attain this milestone are BTS and SEVENTEEN.

Among the BTS albums to reach the million-mark are "Love Yourself: Tear," "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA," "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," and "BE."

As for SEVENTEEN, the 13-member boy group sold more than one million copies on the Hanteo Chart with "Heng:garæ" and "Your Choice."

Previously, EXO broke their first-week sales record on Hanteo. "Don't Fight the Feeling" impressively sold a total of 902,210 copies.

The sales figure of EXO's special album in the first week is 459,439 copies more than their 2019 album, "Obsession," which sold 442,771 copies. This shows an increase of 103.7 percent.

EXO now holds the second-highest first-week sales record among SM albums. The group follows NCT Dream, who sold 1,010,948 total copies of "Hot Sauce."

Released on June 7, EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" debuted on numerous Billboard charts for the week ending on June 19.

In the same week, "Don't Fight the Feeling" debuted at No. 64 on Global 200 and No. 33 on Global. Excl. U.S.

Moreover, EXO's special album secured the No. 55 spot on Billboard Top Current Album Sales Chart and the No. 96 spot on the Top Album Sales Chart.

Meanwhile, the music video for EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" has become the group's fastest MV to reach 70 million views on YouTube. The video reached the mark on July 1, almost a month since it was released.
