Psy's Tourism Campaign Officially Launched In Australia [VIDEO]

Psy recently signed on to help bolster tourism in his motherland South Korea and part of the campaign includes fun (and a bit atypical) attractions for visitors to enjoy while visiting.

Known as Psy's Wiki Korea, the "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" rapper shows many different sides of Korean life with fun short videos aimed at tourists. Some of the experiences included are late night shopping in Dondaemun Market and a sort of "how-to" guide for bar-hopping on a Friday night (also know as Bulgeum, or "fire Friday").

The tourism campaign has already been launched and interested parties can find Psy's videos on YouTube, Facebook, and Google.

Australian Psy fans have an added bonus of seeing thefunny tutorials on the Discovery Channel where the will run from July to November. Another tourism campaign, online through webjet is working in conjunction with Psy's Wiki Korea to offer travel packages and deals to Australian travellers wanting to visit South Korea.

Not that Psy can really be credited entirely, but the popularity of "Gangnam Style" and Psy's unique worldwide appeal has helped to increase international tourism to South Korea in the past year. In 2012, an estimated 11 million tourists flooded the small nation while in March 2013 alone, approximately one million international travellers visited the country for pleasure.
