On August 19, the "Kings of K-pop" BIGBANG will be celebrating their 15th debut anniversary. Following their hiatus for about five years since their last release, fans, particularly V.I.P (BIGBANG's fandom), wonder if they will be releasing any content on their special day.

In the latest article released by the media outlet TenAsia, they discussed BIGBANG's long-awaited comeback. Since the four members completed their military service in late 2019, the K-pop icon dropped numerous hints of their comeback preparation for 2020.

In particular, BIGBANG and V.I.Ps clock in the music stage stopped five years ago after the group released their third studio album, "MADE" in 2016. Due to this, the whole K-pop industry is anticipating if how will they dominate the music field once again.

In March 2020 then, YG Entertainment announced that "BIGBANG plans to step up preparations for music for a new comeback in 2020," which was strengthened by the renewal of the members' contracts, including G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., and Daesung.

The first sign of the group's return was the announcement of the U.S. music festival "Coachella" lineup to which they were listed. But the event was indefinitely canceled due to the pandemic. In November of the same year then, G-Dragon confirmed that he would release his solo album but, unfortunately, is still nowhere to be seen eight months after.

Following that, there's no news at all. From 2020, the K-pop scene entered the second half of 2021 with still no BIGBANG updates from YG Entertainment.

As the group will be celebrating a monumental day on August 19, V.I.Ps are still waiting for any clues about the comeback of the K-pop legend. TenAsia then highlighted two possibilities, based on their last interview as a whole for their tenth debut anniversary.

First, the group is still waiting for the album to be completed. It was emphasized that G-Dragon, who is directly involved in making the group's music, has a belief that "he would not release it unless it was perfect."

He quoted, "I guess releasing an album is like fate."

For the second possibility, which is on a more negative side, the media outlet noted that "love," "passion," and "cool" are the driving forces of the team.

Taeyang avowed, "We love each other a lot," while T.O.P. added, "BIGBANG members are full of 'enthusiasm' for all the quality of various things, not just music."

This is where the "red flag" will enter, as G-Dragon said, "There can't be a cool BIGBANG. If you're going to do it, you have to be cool until the end. I want to quit if I lose my coolness." In particular, in the past years, numerous rumors and controversies rose against some of its members.

Nevertheless, V.I.P, the fandom of the group is determined that BIGBANG will still have a comeback and reunion in the coming years.
