The Cre.Ker Entertainment boy group The Boyz has finally released their own UNIVERSE Music entry, "Drink It," with a tense music video.
NCSoft and Klap, developers of the UNIVERSE K-pop fan interaction platform, released the music video for its latest UNIVERSE Music release this week, with a music video dropping exclusively on the app.
"Drink It," performed by The Boyz, is a neat and sophisticated EDM pop track with a heavy, low-pitched rhythm that serves as a base for its cinematic soundscape.
Producers of the track wove colorful and rich sounds from shuffle rhythm, heavy and sharp drumsets, bass, synthesizers, and guitars into a mix that captivates listeners.
Creating a unique feel, even for fans of The Boyz, "Drink It" is made more special by members Sunwoo and Eric who also wrote the rap verses used in the song.
In the music video for "Drink It," audiences are treated to a theatrical video showing a world where vampires mingle with ordinary humans, with a range of relationships such as love and hate. The video showcases a coherent story augmented by special effects, as well as the visuals of all eleven The Boyz members.
The excitement raised by the previously released teasers, "SOCIETY" and "BLOOD" versions, ultimately culminates in the latest UNIVERSE Music MV consistent with the vampire concept used by the Cre.Ker Entertainment boy group in their other UNIVERSE projects, such as their UNIVERSE Original web series, "The Blood: Death Match."
The Boyz has recently achieved a new record for most album sales with its fifth EP, "Chase," released last September 2020. Additionally, their latest single, "KINGDOM COME," managed to reach the top of multiple local and international charts such as the Genie Realtime Singles Charts and even the Billboard Global K-pop chart.
UNIVERSE Music has been steadily releasing new songs since it was launched with IZ*ONE and "D-D-Dance" last January, followed by Jo Sumi and Rain with "Guardians" in February, Park Ji Hoon's "Call U Up" (feat. Lee Hi), and (G)I-DLE with "Last Dance" (Prod. Groovyroom).
