BTS, aespa Selected as the Top Idols for the First Half of 2021 by Influencers

BTS and aespa have been chosen as the top male and female idols for the first half of 2021 by influencers.

On July 21, SOON ENT, a Korean entertainment company, surveyed the best male and female idols in the first half of 2021 where they asked a total of 50 influencers.

SOON ENT has been issuing its own "trend report" every month for exclusive influencers and conducting various related surveys. The topic this time was "Top Male and Female Idols for the First Half of 2021 Selected by Influencers."

During the survey, the 50 influencers were asked to pick one from the five male idol teams and the five female idol teams.

BTS Chosen as the Top Male Idol for the First Half of 2021 by Influencers

The male K-pop acts that are included in the choices for the "Top Male Idol for the First Half of 2021" were BTS, Highlight, Kang Daniel, NCT Dream, and MONSTA X.

These five artists were active in the entertainment industry over the past six months. Each of them saw success following their new releases.

But among them, BTS was selected as the top male idol for the first half of 2021.

At the end of the survey conducted by SOON ENT, it was revealed that the BTS gained the most votes. The septet was picked 41 times out of the 50 influencers.

NCT Dream and Highlight had four and three votes, respectively. Meanwhile, Kang Daniel and MONSTA X gained one vote each.

From January to June 2021, BTS has been making headlines for their historic records on various platforms and music charts around the world.

It is only just a half of the year, yet, the K-pop boy group already had countless accomplishments.

With their impeccable performances over the past six months, it comes as no surprise that the majority of the influencers chose BTS as the best male idol.

As for the "Top Female Idol for the First Half of 2021," the 50 influencers were asked to choose from these five female acts: TWICE, SNSD Taeyeon, aespa, Brave Girls, and MAMAMOO.

Like the male acts mentioned above, these female artists have been the talk of the town for their new songs.

Following the survey, SOON ENT revealed that aespa is the top female idol for the half of 2021.

SM Entertainment's new girl group was chosen by 24 people, taking the No. 1 spot on the list.

Brave Girls and TWICE each attained nine votes, while MAMAMOO had five and SNSD Taeyeon got three.

aespa has been setting records on domestic and international music charts over the past six months, proving they are the monster rookies in the K-pop industry.
