Video of IU Getting Smacked in the Face with a Water Bottle Resurfaces
During her concert in Shanghai, China, a video of IU from 2015 has resurfaced and is making fans giggle!
During the concert, IU was telling fans how she felt thirsty. She started asking fans at the front if they could offer her water. Almost immediately, a water bottle came flying towards the soloist from the audience, smacking her in the face hard.

Upon contact, IU's eyes widened in shock. Then, she started rubbing her left cheek, and it appeared to have hurt her quite badly.
The "Good Day" singer turned around for a moment to calm herself down before taking the mic once more and telling fans that is okay and that the situation was fine.
The idol then started laughing and continued, "Guys, do not worry! This is a funny situation. There is no need to worry, everyone. Let me drink some water!"

She continued to joke around with the audience, saying it was her first time getting hit in the face, but she was okay. She definitely handled it like a champ!

IU Recent Activities
On March 25, IU dropped her fifth studio album, "LILAC," with a second title track of the same name. The album was an immediate success in South Korea.
"LILAC" debuted at the top of the Gaon Album Charts, with all of the songs charting in the top 30 of the Gaon Digital Chart.

The song "LILAC" also topped the iTunes Album Chart in 11 regions.
On January 27, IU released "Celebrity," which serves as the title track and pre-release for "LILAC." The song hit number one in the Gaon Digital Charts and the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.
In the United States, "Celebrity" hit number three on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart and number 78 on the Billboard Global 200 charts.

On January 9, IU received the "Digital Daesang Song of the Year" award at the 35th Golden Disc Awards for her song "Blueming." During her acceptance speech, IU hinted that she would be making a comeback with a new single that was refreshing and cheerful, with an energetic music genre. That song turned out to be "Celebrity."
