On Aug. 2, Genius Korea revealed the Top 10 albums for July 2021. Works by several soloists and groups are included on the list.

EXO D.O. "Empathy" is the No. 1 Album for July 2021, According to Genius Korea
Grabbing the top spot on the list is EXO D.O.'s "Empathy," his first solo album in nine years.
Released on July 26, "Empathy" features eight songs, two of which were self-written by EXO member D.O. "Rose" is one of his written works, and it serves as the album's title track.
In addition to the title song, "Rose," fans also anticipated the Spanish version of "It's Love" (titled "Si Fueras Mia"). Many praised the male idol for being fluent in the language.

On the first day of sales, EXO D.O.'s "Empathy" sold a total of 197,018 copies on the Hanteo Chart. The album then recorded a total of 310,108 copies in its first-week sales, which ended on Aug. 1.
D.O.'s solo album also entered numerous music charts at the time of its release. It not only ranked first on the European iTunes Album Chart but also on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
"Empathy" also achieved the third-most No. 1s on iTunes charts for any 2021 album, surpassing Taylor Swift's "Fearless TV."
Even of Day "Right Through Me" Grabs No. 2 on the List of Top Albums for July 2021
"Right Through Me" is the best group album for July 2021, according to Genius Korea. It is the second mini-album by Even of Day, the first sub-unit of the boy group DAY6.
Even of Day is composed of members Wonpil, Young K, and Dowoon, who have either songwriting or composing credits in the songs included in "Right Through Me."
In particular, Young K wrote the lyrics for the title track "Right Through Me" and composed it with Wonpil and Hong Ji Sang.

Even of Day's "Right Through Me" was released on July 5, and on the same day, the album sold a total of 3,838 copies on the Hanteo Chart.
The band's sales in the next two days saw a higher amount: 16,368 copies on Day 2 and 23,372 copies on Day 3.
For its first-week sales on Hanteo, Even of Day's "Right Through Me" recorded a total of 49,437 copies, from July 5 to 11.
(G)I-DLE Soyeon "Windy" Grabs No. 3 on the List of Top Albums for July 2021
"Windy" is the top album by a female soloist for July 2021, according to Genius Korea. It is the first mini-album by Jeon Soyeon, a member of the girl group (G)I-DLE.
(G)I-DLE Soyeon's "Windy" was released on the same day as Even of the Day's "Right Through Me." The album achieved a total of 19,223 copies for its first-day sales on the Hanteo Chart.

The said sales amount is the fifth-highest first-day sales for a female soloist on Hanteo in history.
In the first week of sales on the Hanteo Chart, Jeon Soyeon's "Windy" sold a total of 35,708 copies.
Additionally, "Windy" made (G)I-DLE Soyeon one of the only three female K-pop soloists in history to reach the No. 1 position on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
