On August 6 KST, YG Entertainment that BLACKPINK's very own island on the popular Nintendo Switch game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is now open!

BLACKPINK Officially Opens Own Island on Nintendo's 'Animal Crossing'
BLACKPINK's island, "InYourArea," can be visited by anyone who has access to the game and through their Dream Address code - DA-3403-7703-9683.
On the "InYourArea" island, fans can visit numerous places, such as the "BLACKPINK House," which was the four-member group's reality program that aired back in 2018, the concert hall of "THE SHOW," and the music video sets of "Kill This Love," "As If It's Your Last," and "Ice Cream."

In addition, the island will also include BLACKPINK's recording studio and dance practice room, which they tried to reproduce to provide a deep level of intimacy and as a special memory to fans.
"InYourArea" island was prepared as one of the ways to commemorate BLACKPINK's fifth anniversary since their debut. As the world is currently in a pandemic, making it difficult to meet with fans in person, BLACKPINK hopes to increase their communication channels and remove boundaries with domestic and global fans through various means.
BLACKPINK had previously held a new concept of a fan signing event, utilizing Zepeto, a global augmented reality (AR) avatar service, and also joining the global fan community platform, Weverse.

BLACKPINK's efforts to connect with fans through various ways is meaningful as it also aims to accommodate the current MZ Generation, who seeks fun, special and unique experiences.
An official at YG Entertainment said, "We plan to actively utilize the brand value of BLACKPINK, who is loved all over the world, to strategically collaborate with various metaverse-based fields, all the while further increasing their communication channels with global fans by creating colorful content."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is celebrating their fifth anniversary since their debut this coming August 8. They recently released "BLACKPINK The Movie" in more than a hundred countries around the world last August 4. In addition, they will be releasing eco-friendly merchadise through the Weverse Shop on August 6.
