Known for their viral dance cover videos, The Ark was anticipated by fans even before debut. However, just after a year and only promoting only one single, the K-pop girl group, sadly, disbanded.
What happened to The Ark and where are the members now?
The Ark: Debut, 'Somebody 4 Life,' and Disbandment
On April 10, 2015, Music K Entertainment (a subsidiary of KeyEast) launched a K-pop girl group called The Ark. The team is comprised of Minju, Euna – who first garnered attention after joining Korean survival shows – along with Yujin, Halla, and Jane.
Aside from familiar faces, The Ark also captured interest from K-pop fans due to their incredible dance cover videos of EXO and BTS songs!
After releasing their single album, "Somebody 4 Life," and lead single, "The Light," the "girl crush" group established stable fandom in Korea, yet it wasn't able to penetrate the global market.
Unfortunately, main vocalist Yujin developed vocal cord nodules, leading her to leave the group. And while in search of a new vocalist, Music K decided to disband the group in March 2016.
Where are The Ark Members Now?
After being unfairly disbanded, The Ark members were then scattered in various entertainment fields. Here is the current status of each member.
1. Minju
The leader and main dancer of the group, Minju, debuted again with other groups after the disbandment in 2016. As the longest trainee under Music K, Minju remained determined to pursue her career as a singer.
In 2017, she joined the pre-debut group DAYDAY, but after a failed project, she once again tried with KHAN along with Euna.
As of 2021, Minju drifted away in the K-pop stage, yet based on her Instagram account, The Ark members maintained their close relationship. Minju also created her personal YouTube channel, "Minju X Ursso," where she is actively posting dance covers and singing sessions.
2. Euna Kim
After a failed debut in 2015, the main rapper of the group Euna re-debuted with Minju under Maroo Entertainment with a new name, KHAN. Unfortunately, the duo cited agency mistreatment, leading to their disbandment in 2020 after hiatus in 2019.
In 2021, Euna updated fans about her wedding last May, along with the announcement of retirement as a K-pop idol.
After living in the U.S., Euna said, "I met someone who I could love and grow with for the rest of my life," adding, "I'm not sure if I'll sing again someday, but I'll try to live days that I don't regret even as an ordinary Kim Euna."

3. Yujin
After parting ways with the group due to her vocal cord nodules, the main vocalist Yujin now goes by the stage name, MAIL.
After recovering, she pursued her solo career and joined numerous music show competitions including, "The Voice Korea" 2020 and "Miss Back."
Since then, MAIL is now a soloist under MOT Entertainment.
4. Halla
Following disbandment in 2016, Halla joined various music survival programs, such as "The Unit" and the "Idol Master KR."
In 2018, she re-debuted under UNI.T, which disbanded in the same year, and became a member of the Real Girls Project as well – which ended in 2018.
After three attempts of debuting as an idol, Halla signed under Apple of the Eye (A.O.E.) company to focus on her new career as an actress.
In 2020, she debuted in the web drama, "Handmade Love," co-starring actor Lee Soo Hyuk.
5. Jane
Lastly, the maknae of the group, who also joined Real Girls Project with Halla, has been continuously working in the entertainment industry after disbandment.
Aside from her appearance in MBC's "Two Cops" in 2017 and "Pinkfong" in 2019, Jane is also actively communicating with fans through Instagram, and uploading song covers and vlogs through YouTube.
