BLACKPINK's first mini-album titled "Square Up," was released on June 15, 2018. This is the album where "DDU-DU DDU-DU'' is the title song. It is the song that made BLACKPINK rise to the ranks of trending girl groups worldwide. The addictive chorus of "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and its point of choreography like shooting a gun with both hands attract not only domestic but worldwide fans as well, and up to this day, the song is still loved by many.
Soon after its release, "DDU-DU DDU-DU ranked 40th and 55th on the US Billboard 200 and Hot 100 respectively. It also entered the domestic music charts like "Perfect All Kill," recording the highest ranking in K-Pop girl group history at that time. That year, it ranked No.1 in the "World's Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video" and No.3 in the "Top 10 Best Summer Hit Songs on YouTube." With this, BLACKPINK proved its global status.

TWICE dances the night away every summer
TWICE, who succeeded in hitting eight consecutive hits starting from their debut song "Like OOH-AHH" to "What is Love?" and "Dance The Night Away." The girl group released their first summer song with the title song "Dance The Night Away" from their first special album "Summer Nights," they recorded nine consecutive hits.
The song "Dance the Night Away," which drew attention as TWICE's first summer song, is an up-tempo pop song that expresses the youth of the nine girl members who are living with special happiness. It has a cool and refreshing feeling that catches TWICE's unique, bright, and lively energy. It also blows away the scorching heat of other summer hits. It attracts listeners' tastes and it successfully occupies five weekly music charts.
It ranked first in Hanteo's weekly album charts, Gaon Digital downloads, and it was popular with 3 charts and 10 music shows.
This year, the girl group released their new summer song "Alcohol Free" and it also gives the feeling of ease even in the scorching summer heat. The song features catchy lyrics, remarkable choreography and captivating visuals. It is still dominating the music charts even after a month of its release.

Red Velvet powers up every summer
