On the evening of Aug. 20, iKON member Bobby surprised many when he revealed that he is about to welcome a new member to his family and also start his own family as his girlfriend will give birth to their child next month.
Bobby also stated that he promised to marry the person he loves, signifying that he might get married anytime soon.
While most fans are excited and happy for iKON's rapper, some expressed their disappointment over the sudden news.

After iKON Bobby's shocking announcement, many fans sent messages of congratulatory and blessings to the idol. Some fans, however, are reacting coldly to the sudden news.
Some iKON fans or iKONICs, who were unhappy about Bobby's unexpected announcement of marriage and fatherhood, expressed their disappointment as they cite that he did not tell them about his relationship even though he has been actively promoting this year.

In particular, iKON Bobby released a solo album in January and made a comeback with his fellow members in March with a new single, titled "Why Why Why." He then appeared along with his fellow iKON members on Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War" from April to June.
Considering this, some iKONICs claimed that it was inappropriate to only notify them at a time when the child is about to be born only one month away.

Bobby or Kim Jiwon is a well-known member and rapper of the K-pop boy group iKON, which is managed by one of the "Big 3" entertainment companies in South Korea, YG Entertainment. The idol made his official debut under the band in 2015 with the single "My Type."
