Marking their comeback with a "bang," the seven-piece group VERIVERY has begun full promotions for its latest album, starting with the release of the music video for its title track "TRIGGER."
Their latest album, "SERIES 'O' [ROUND 2: HOLE]," comes five months since their last comeback with the previous "SERIES 'O'" installment - and now the members are holding nothing back. Furthermore, the new release marks the return of member Minchan, who had to take an 8-month hiatus to focus on health.
Now at full force, VERIVERY continues its journey as a unified group, marked by the "TRIGGER" MV providing a fitting visual to the title track. With the complete package released with the group's comeback, fans are treated to an ominous track as well as the first look to familiar, yet still-mysterious characters.
In the "TRIGGER" Official MV, the audience finds a number of circular shapes and symbolisms, rounding up the "SERIES 'O'" concept and giving off suspenseful vibes all throughout. Using abandoned buildings, sprawling forests, and sparsely lit locations, it creates a harrowing feel that takes the audience for a ride - thanks to the members' conveying the emotion needed in every scene.
The MV also maximizes the members' visuals by providing them opportunities to draw out a certain duality within them: one appears naive and innocent while the other looks mysterious, mature, and dangerous. Their visuals also get the attention it deserves thanks to contrasting outfit design choices. VERIVERY offers a performance that effectively reminds everyone what made them viral during their appearance in the Mnet reality TV show "Road to Kingdom."
As a part of the "SERIES 'O' [ROUND 2: HOLE]" release, VERIVERY also held a stage showcase where they performed the title track. While member Gyehyeon was unable to perform with the rest of the group because of an injury, the six other members delivered the same energy and unity that proves VERIVERY is very well on the way to making another hit, in the same vein as "Get Away."
