CL Officially Goes Global, Signs a Contract with Beyonce and Adele's British Agency

CL, the former member and leader of the Korean Female group 2NE1, has signed a contract with global agency Satellite414 and it strengthened its global movement.

CL, who successfully released her track "SPICY" last August 24 and took the first remarkable step in the solo album "ALPHA" project, signed a contract with Satellite414 for her active overseas activities. Satellite414 is a global entertainment agency based in the United Kingdom and it is handling world-famous musicians like Adele, Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Duran Duran, and also famous actors like Simon Pegg.

CL adorned the cover of 032c, a fashion and art magazine from Berlin, Germany last June. It is the first time that a Korean musician spruces up the magazine.

Then once again, CL showed a very strong presence through various music shows in Korea. She appeared on the domestic music broadcast stage for the first time four days after her debut, like "M Countdown," "Music Bank," and "Show!."

Now that she went solo, this activity is the first music broadcast stage after eight years since "Bad Gijipae" in 2013, and seven years since 2NE1's activities stopped in 2014. On August 29, CL finished her domestic activities for "SPICY" with "Inkigayo." Then in September, the second single of her album "ALPHA," which confirms another side of CL, will be released.

CL releases her title track 'SPICY'

CL's track "SPICY" was released on the afternoon of August 24. It ranked first in some regions including Cambodia and Singapore on the iTunes Top Song Chart, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Argentina, Moldova, Brazil, Philippines and many others. It also successfully entered the TOP 10 in 13 regions and it showed proof of its global influence.

Following the release of "SPICY," John Malkovich, the actor who narrated the song, sent a message as a support to CL and it has drawn more attention from the fans.

In the released video through CL's official SNNS, John Malkovich revealed that he is one of the fans of CL and said that "SPICY" is very fantastic and he is very proud of CL.

"SPICY" is a song that shows CL's new classic with "Bad Girlfriend" and "Hello B*tches." At the same time, it symbolically shows the attitude and other values of CL's character in the last 13 years.

"ALPHA" is CL's first studio album. She initially planned to release the album in November 2020. However, it has been postponed for she still had a lot of ideas to add in each song.

The title of the new song is "SPICY," and it immediately raised expectations by releasing the music video's teaser.

On August 19, the music video of "SPICY," showed CL with different dancers standing together with a LED that displays unique patterns in the background. Then later in the video, the title of the single was revealed, spelling the word "SPICY," which is featured with an impressive metallic design. The letters quickly disappeared right after.
