Sooyoung and Yuri Share Their Thoughts on a New 'Girls' Generation Unit' Including Members They Want to Do It With

Sooyoung and Yuri talked about a new Girls' Generation sub-unit they want to form, including which members they want to do it with.

On Sept. 5, Girls' Generation Sooyoung was featured in a new video content for the YouTube channel of her fellow member Yuri. The two stars answered questions during and after eating the meal they prepared beforehand.

One of the questions asked to them was, "Individual activities are important, but you must miss performing as Girls' Generation. If you were to do a unit performance, have you thought about which member you want to do it with, and what concept?"

In the latest video uploaded to Yuri's YouTube channel, Yuri and Sooyoung shared what Girls' Generation sub-unit they want to create.

Kwon Yuri commented that she thinks many fans would want to see SHY, as SHY always becomes a hot topic at their concerts. SHY is Girls' Generation's unofficial sub-unit composing of three members: Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, and Yuri.

In response to this, Choi Sooyoung said that she would want to debut in the unit SHY. However, "Yuri said she didn't want to do it."

Girls' Generation Yuri then unveiled the reason why she doesn't want to do SHY. She explained, "First of all, we might get laughed at."

When Sooyoung asked her why she thinks that way, Yuri explained that the SHY she might be thinking is different to what Sooyoung is thinking. She went on to say that the SHY she is thinking is "really eccentric."

Girls' Generation Sooyoung then responded that they can do SHY differently from what Yuri is imagining.

Later on, Kwon Yuri asked Sooyoung about another Girls' Generation sub-unit she wants to try aside from SHY.

Choi Sooyoung replied that she wants a unit consisting of her, Seohyun, Yuri, and Yoona, who are the tallest members of their group, and they will be called "Double S.Y" since two of the members have names starting with "S" and the other two with "Y."
