At a time when in-person performances and concert tours remain severely prohibited by the prolonged battle against COVID-19, fans can have a unique experience with the online performance series "2021 Roundabout," set to start on September 25.
The 2021 Roundabout is an online performance planned whose theme is based on a roundabout, which is a circular road that connects various roads together, with this one being an intersection for old and new musicians. By connecting different generations of artists together, fans will witness an incredible meeting of different sounds and different personalities coming together because of the shared love of their art form.
To kick off the huge event on September 25, fans can witness rising artists Motte, The FunCity, and Wilcox who will all reinterpret music made popular by the singer-songwriter Kim Bum-ryong, who represents the 1980s. His hit track "Wind Wind Wind," will be given a modern version by Motte and Wilcox.
The 2021 Roundabout is produced by the Korea Creative Agency initiative "2021 Popular Music Online Performance Support Project." This event is expected to produce a total of three independent stages, all conveying the intersection between the old and the new. After the September 25 debut of the online event, the following episodes are set for October 23 and November 12.
More details about the upcoming event can be found through the online live reservation platform Live At (Live@), with reservations opened last September 6. Fans who have purchased a reservation can enter 30 minutes before the start of the program. However, they can only watch on one device per account, with attempts to watch across multiple devices resulting in being logged out in all of them based on the system's duplicate entry prevention system.
