On September 20, BTS delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2nd SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Moment, held at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States. Not only did the members give touching speeches, but the boys also performed "Permission to Dance."
BTS member Jungkook made headlines as the youngest South Korean celebrity to attend the United Nations general assembly as a special envoy.
During his intro at the United National main hall, Jungkook spread a message of empathy and love, drawing a lot of attention from over one million viewers who tuned in to watch the assembly.

On this day, Jungkook said, "I was saddened to hear that the entrance and graduation ceremonies had to be canceled. These are moments in life you want to celebrate, and missing out on them must have been upsetting. Likewise, we were heartbroken when our long-planned concert tours had to be canceled, and for a while, we yearned for the moments we wanted to complete."
Jungkook expressed his regret over those who missed precious moments everyone lost following the pandemic. "Of course, sometimes the world seems stuck in place even if you are ready to go. Sometimes, it feels like you have lost your way. There was a time where we felt the same way." added the male idol.

Not only did the male send out his sympathetic words, but the BTS maknae also started singing on the podium, warming the hearts of people with his clear and refreshing voice that inspires hope.
