Jessica Jung Hints at Potential New Singles and Album This Year

Recently on September 19, CNBC published an article that featured former Girls' Generation member-turned-solo artist and businesswoman, Jessica Jung, who sat down for an interview with the American business media outlet, where she talked about being a social media influencer, and founder and CEO of her own brand, Blanc & Eclare.

In particular, they talked about how numerous projects have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Jessica Jung was one of them.

Prior to the pandemic, the "Call Me Before You Sleep" singer would often travel back and forth for her schedules, but is now currently staying in South Korea full-time. Despite being unable to travel often now, Jessica Jung says she loves staying in South Korea.

"I didn't think that I would like it this much, but I actually love it because I didn't know I missed home this much. I had time to take care of myself, mentally and physically," said Jessica Jung.

According to Jessica Jung, she is also working on music and had wanted to release an album but was put on hold for a while. However, she reveals that she is working on it right now.

"But I'm dropping several singles throughout the year that's gonna lead up to an album," said Jessica Jung.

She adds that she has constantly been working on music in between her schedules. Although no other information regarding when she will be releasing the new singles was given, it can be expected that new music will be released this year.

Jessica Jung also mentioned that she is currently finishing up her second book "Bright," which is the sequel to her first book and New York Time's Bestseller "Shine," and will be released sometime in mid-2022.

Jessica Jung Shares Her Thoughts About Social Media

Jessica Jung also talked about her thoughts on social media, and as a social media influencer, it can be challenging at times, especially when you are looking for a break. "Social media is so fast paced that you just need to kind of keep up," said Jessica Jung.

When it comes to the type of content that she posts, Jessica Jung would post her branded content and her genuine daily activities and fashion, and other contents that her fans and followers want to see.

She also raises her concerns about the impact of social media on today's generation, such as the like button often found on numerous platforms. "It can cause some insecurities for people. I've seen it happen to a lot of people around me," said Jessica Jung.

For those who aspire to become a social media influencer, Jessica Jung's advice is, "You have to be genuine, and you have to have a character for yourself. Then there's a connection that's made between you and your followers. That's how it grows."
