Coldplay x BTS Reveal My Universe Lyric and Audio Teaser

On September 22, Coldplay posted on their official Twitter account a lyric and audio teaser of their upcoming collaboration song with BTS.

The new clip presents a visualizer and some unheard lyrics. ARMYs (BTS fandom) have noted that the font seems to be similar to BTS Leader RM's handwriting.

The revealed lyrics said, "And they said that we can't be together because we come from different sides," expressing the song's typical meaning.

Coldplay Chris Martin explained on the Kelly Clarkson Show before that the song is all about crossing the boundaries of love.

It has been speculated that the visualizer clip may be from a lyric video that will be released together with the song on September 24.

BTS x Coldplay My Universe Excites Global Fans

Last September 13, the British rock band Coldplay announced the exciting news of a collaboration with BTS. Their collaboration song My Universe is scheduled to be released on October 24.

The single, which will be sung in English and Korean, has been written and composed by Coldplay together with BTS and it was produced by Max Martin.

The pre-orders on the music site, reservations, and CD purchases are now available online.

The track My Universe is the second single that will be included in the album Music Of The Spheres, scheduled for release on October 15, after Coldplay Higher Power.

In July, Coldplay released the whole tracklist for this album, which includes My Universe in it.

The truth that BTS has participated was not revealed at that time. However, speculation that they collaborated on this song has eventually surfaced online.

Last October 10, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin took over the YouTube original music show RELEASED, featuring BTS and it drew the attention of fans all over the world.

Coldplay was formed in London in 1998, and has gathered popularity worldwide because of its sensibility and lyricism that is attracting the public. The band is also called the most successful band of the 21st century.

The band's 9th full-length "Music of the Spheres" features a universe-themed concept.

Music of The Spheres Pre-Orders Sell Out

The CD of the single My Universe, which garnered the attention of listeners all over the world through the successful collaboration of BTS and Coldplay, has been sold out.

Last September 16, Coldplay's official Twitter account posted their gratitude to the fans' amazing interest in My Universe. They also declared that the limited edition CD has already been sold out in online stores with only its pre-orders.

BTS' Continuous Billboard Success

Billboard's latest chart as of September 25, showed that the song Butter has recorded 14th place on Billboard's main single chart Hot 100, by up three places from last week. It maintained its Hot 100 position for 17 consecutive weeks.

BTS Butter entered the chart on June 5 and it went straight to the top spot for seven consecutive weeks, it then climbed to the top 10 times from its release, it now has the title of "The Most No.1 Songs on the Hot 100 in 2021."
