The voting process for the "Popularity Award" for the 2021 Asia Artist Awards has been postponed.
Can't Vote for 'Popularity Award'? 2021 AAA Has Suspended the Start of Voting Process
On Oct. 13 at noon KST, Asia Artist Awards opened the first preliminary round of voting for the six categories of the "Popularity Award," an award based wholly on fans' votes.
However, it was announced through the official website of AAA that the voting process has been suspended.

According to the notice posted on their website, the "Popularity Award" voting for the 2021 AAA is suspended for the time being. A technical problem occurred due to traffic caused by fans' enthusiastic support.
As a result, Asia Artist Awards organizers are now conducting an emergency server check. The schedule for resuming the voting process will be announced at a later date after the system has been fixed.
The 2021 AAA organizers concluded, "We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding."

The new date for the preliminary round of voting for the "Popularity Award" will be announced on the AAA Japan website.
The initial timetable for the first preliminary voting round was from Oct. 13 at noon KST to Oct. 18 at 11:59 p.m. KST. However, due to the technical problem, the schedule of voting will most likely change.

The artists with the second-most wins at Asia Artist Awards are EXO and TWICE, with both of them having eight trophies.
EXO received their most trophies in 2016 when they were given a total of four awards: "Asia Star Award," "Popularity Award - Music," "Baidu Star Award," and "Daesang Award - Music."
As for TWICE, the girl group's first AAA trophy is "Best Artist Award - Singer," and their latest awards are "AAA x Choeaedol Popularity Award - Female" and "Artist of the Year (Daesang)."
After EXO and TWICE are another two artists with the same number of wins: Girls' Generation Yoona and SEVENTEEN both have seven trophies.
Girls' Generation Yoona impressively won an award for four years straight (2016-2019). Her first trophies are "Asia Star Award - Actress" and "Popularity Award - Actress."
Like Yoona, SEVENTEEN also took home an award for every year, from 2016 to 2019. Their first-ever AAA award is "Best Star Award - Music."
