BTS Selected as One of the Most Influential Figures by College Students
On October 18, UNN reported that a character preference survey was recently conducted on college students, where they were asked to select who they think is the most influential figure in all fields within South Korea.
According to the survey, Lee Jae Yong, the vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, had topped the survey with 21.8 percent of the votes. Although he became embroiled in several controversies and was imprisoned in January, and eventually released on parole in August on charges of manipulating with state affairs, he garnered attention for promising to contribute to society by offering job opportunities to the youth after his parole.
Following in second place is South Korea's president, Moon Jae In, who took 20.2 percent of the votes.
Coming in as the third most influential domestic figure is global superstars, BTS! According to the survey, 14.4 percent of the college students voted for BTS, which doesn't come off as a surprise given their impact in not only their country, but all around the world.

With BTS' global influence and impact, they became highly sought after by numerous brands and organizations that promote social causes to the youth, making them the most influential figure and K-Pop stars in South Korea.
The Nation's MC, Yoo Jae Suk, ranked No. 4 with 11.8 percent of the votes.
Following the release of the survey, numerous netizens expressed their amazement with BTS' influence in the online community forum, Pann Nate, where the survey results were shared, alongside BTS' recent achievements this year.
Many netizens have pointed out that the survey isn't false, given that BTS has a massive amount of influence when it comes to culture and foreign affairs.

BTS' Upcoming Activities
Meanwhile, BTS is currently gearing up for their offline and online concerts happening in the coming months.
On October 24 KST, BTS will be holding their online concert, "BTS Permission to Dance On Stage." While on November 27 and 28, and December 1 and 2, BTS will be having their first offline concert, "BTS Permission to Dance On Stage - LA," in almost two years at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Following their concerts, BTS will be performing at the 2021 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on December 3 local time.
