Here are 9 K-pop Songs to Add to Your Halloween Playlist
1. Red Velvet - 'Peek-A-Boo'
Red Velvet's "Peek-A-Boo" may sound cheerful or sound upbeat, but don't be fooled!
While they look like five girls who fell in love at first sight and chased after the handsome pizza delivery guy, the quintet actually has a darker intention.
2. VIXX - 'Voodoo Doll'
Can you celebrate Halloween without the "King of Creepy Concepts" VIXX? Of course not!
While they got a long list of perfect tracks for this Halloween, "Voodoo Doll" MV is enough to give you the chills down your spine as it shows the members in cages!
Look out for the creepy MV that shows organs, voodoo dolls, blood and more.
3. SHINee - 'Married to the Music'
While SHINee's "Married to the Music" gives off a fun melody in a house party, the monster-mash, NSFK music video began when the member's body parts, such as head, were either cut by a knife, nose and eyes popping out of their body and face being burned by the fire from a cake's candles!
4. BTOB - 'Thriller'
Set in a haunted cemetery, this BTOB MV shows the members rising from their graves.
The BTOB members portray vampires and zombies in this music video. It also exhibits madness to complete an unfinished mission, of saving their "princess," the reason why they came back.
5. T-ARA - 'Lovey Dovey' (Zombie Ver.)
If you want a zombie-themed song, then "Lovey Dovey is for you!
It is not as scary as you would expect it to be, but the six-minute video will make you stay in your chair and wait for the whole story to unfold.
6. Dreamcatcher - 'Chase Me'
Dreamcatcher is known for its mysterious, creepy, and thrilling concepts, but "Chase Me" is one of their MVs that you shouldn't miss, especially this Halloween.
The MV starts with a ghosthunter arriving in a hotel-like building in search of ghosts who conceal their identity as normal girls.
As the MV went on, the mischievous members started pulling a prank to the ghosthunter, claiming they are "not easy to catch."
7. Red Velvet Irene & Seulgi - 'Monster'
The sub-unit's debut track is less spooky compared to the group's previous releases, but "Monster" will make you ponder about the concept of the song based on its deep lyrics as well as its horror, sapphic-themed MV.
8. EXO - 'Obsession'
EXO's "Obsession" don't have zombies, vampires, or ghosts, but the music video is intriguing and suspense-filled as it shows a battle against themselves, EXO vs. X-EXO.
9. Sunmi - 'Full Moon'
Set in a dark setting, Sunmi's "Full Moon" might be an actual horror film with how the fright it can give you while watching it. What will you do if you wake up in the middle of the night and see a woman in a white dress... and suddenly turn into a vampire?
10. SEULGI - '28 Reasons'
Red Velvet's one and only "dance machine" Seulgi finally made her solo debut on October 4, 2022!
The RV main dancer gifted ReVeluvs with her groovy EP "28 Reasons" with 6 tracks, including the title song of the same name. Its lyrics feature a chartacter of both "good and evil," and the cinematic music video will definitely keep you wanting more despite its dark atmosphere.
Might as well stream her whole album as it already encompasses thrill and Halloween-ish vibes!
