BTS Lands 3 Nominations at the 2021 American Music Awards
On October 28, the American Music Awards revealed the nominees for this year's ceremony through its official website and social media.
There, they revealed BTS is nominated for three categories: Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, and Favorite Pop Song" for "Butter."
This is the first time that BTS has been nominated for the category Artist of the Year at the AMAs.

The septet has been on the list of the nominees for the American Music Awards since 2018, and they have won at least one category for three consecutive years until 2020.
BTS won as the Favorite Social Artist in 2018, then another Favorite Social Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Duo/Group, and Tour of the Year in 2019.
In 2020, they won the trophies Favorite Pop/Rock Genre Duo/Group and Favorite Social Artist.
The 2021 American Music Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 21, and will be broadcast live through ABC.

The Bangtan Boys submitted their most popular track "Butter" for deliberation in the 2022 Grammy Awards for the category of Best Pop Duo/Group.
BTS is vying for the award along with other world famous names in the music industry. Their song "Butter" will compete against The Kid LAROI and Miley Cyrus' "Without You," 24kGoldn's "Mood" with Iann Dior, Lizzo's "Rumors" with Cardi B, and Doja Cat and SZA's "Kiss Me More."

After occupying the first place on Billboard Hot 100 for over 10 weeks, Billboard named BTS' "Butter" as this year's Song of the Summer.
Meanwhile, the official nominees for the 2022 Grammy Awards will be revealed on November 23. The event will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 31, 2022. It will be broadcast live on Paramount and CBS.
Meanwhile, BTS will perform at the 2021 E! People's Choice Awards. It will be held on December 7 in Sta. Monica California and will be broadcast live on NBC.
