Big Hit Music to Give Full Refund to ARMYs Who Received Defective "BTS Butter" Cassette
On Nov. 2, Big Hit Music announced that they conducted an investigation after learning that there was a difference between the appearances of the "BTS Butter" cassette from the cassette in the picture posted on the online store.

The label said that an investigation took place with the overseas production company and factory. They then confirmed that defective products have been manufactured and shipped to customers.
Big Hit Music ended their statement by saying, "We deeply apologize for not thoroughly inspecting the delivered product. Hence, we have decided to give a full refund."
In May this year, Big Hit Music revealed a variety of new goods to promote BTS's new English-language single "Butter," and one of them is a cassette tape that features the song on both sides.

Pre-orders for the "BTS Butter" cassette along with the other products started in the said month as well. However, the shipment of the items took five months.
While ARMYs patiently waited for the new BTS merchandise, they were ultimately disappointed after discovering that the actual appearance of the cassette tape was far from the one in the teaser photo that Big Hit Music posted.
Disappointed BTS's fans took to online communities to voice out their dissatisfaction with the quality of the product they received. In particular, most of the criticisms concern the color of the tape as well as the print of the "Butter" logo on it.
Some fans also complained that they waited for five months, but all they got was a defective "BTS Butter" cassette.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the cassettes were produced in the United States.

BTS's "Butter" Claims No. 1 on the Weekly Hot Trending Songs Chart, Powered by Twitter
In other news, BTS's "Butter" has dominated this week's Weekly Hot Trending Songs Chart, which Billboard created in collaboration with Twitter.
For the week ending on Nov. 6, "Butter" surpasses "Permission to Dance" in its second entry on the weekly chart. Previously, it debuted at No. 7, so this means it jumped up six spots to get to the top of the rankings.
According to Billboard, BTS's "Butter" ranked first with 2.7 million Twitter mentions in the tracking week, which began from Oct. 22 to 28.

Billboard concluded that the surge in mentions can be attributed to the announcement on Oct. 28 that "Butter" is one of the nominees for the favorite pop song at the American Music Awards.
The song will compete with Dua Lipa's "Levitating," Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Teasers" remix and Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More" featuring SZA.
Meanwhile, the other BTS songs that entered this week's Hot Trending Songs Chart are "Permission to Dance" (No. 3), "My Universe" with Coldplay (No. 9), "Dynamite" (No. 10) and "Boy With Luv" featuring Halsey (No. 15).
