KINGDOM, BLITZERS & More Rookie Groups to Make Their First Appearance on Asia Artist Awards This 2021

In addition to the top-tier K-pop artists, rookie groups will also be attending the 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), which will mark their first-ever appearance at the awards ceremony.

On Nov. 5, four new groups were announced to join the lineup of attendees for the 2021 AAA, which will take place on Dec. 2.

According to the upcoming awards ceremony, rookie groups such as DKB, KINGDOM, T1419 and BLITZERS will show up at the event, and these new idols will present spectacular stages that will showcase their impeccable talent.

All of these new Korean acts are K-pop boy groups that debuted in 2020-21. Among them, DKB was the first to make their debut.

Composed of nine members, DKB (pronounced as "Darkbe") released their first EP, "Youth," in February of last year, and left a strong impression on global K-pop fans with the album's title song "Sorry Mama."

Since their debut, the new K-pop group DKB has made four comebacks, the latest one is on Oct. 28 this year with their first single album "Rollercoaster."

The next to make their debut among these four rookie groups is T1419, who is also made up of nine members. In January this year, they dropped their first single album "Before Sunrise Part 1," which contains the title song "Asurabalbata."

This past October, T1419 became the first Korean artist to be invited to the Monitor Music Awards, a prestigious awards ceremony in Latin America.

A month after T1419's debut, KINGDOM (a seven-member boy group) released their first EP "History of Kingdom: Part 1. Arthur."

They gradually gained fame after the release of their second EP "History of Kingdom: Part II. Chiwoo" in July. This EP features the title track "Karma," which debuted at No. 8 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, dated July 17.

Finally, BLITZERS made their debut in May this year as a seven-member band as well. In that month, the boy group dropped their first EP "Check-In."

In five months, the new K-pop group made their first comeback with their second EP "Seat-Belt," which sold a total of 31,657 copies in the first week, breaking their previous record of 9,336 copies set by "Check-In."

What Companies Manage KINGDOM, BLITZERS, T1419 and DKB?

DKB is short for "Dark Brown Eyes," which means that "those who have it will reach out to the world." They are the first boy band of Brave Entertainment in seven years after Big Star in 2012.

T1419 stands for "teenagers, who met at the age of 14-19, who will express their passion through music." The nonet is the first-ever boy group of MLD Entertainment, home to MOMOLAND.

Meanwhile, KINGDOM was formed by GF Entertainment and they are the only idol group the company manages at present.

As for BLITZERS, the rookie group is currently under Wuzo Entertainment and like KINGDOM, they are the only K-pop group in the agency.
