aespa Winter recently communicated with her fans on the paid chatting service app "Bubble" but she was criticized for using the way of talking that is notorious among Ilbe users.
aespa Winter Accused of Using Ilbe's Way of Talking in a 'Bubble' Conversation with Fans
On Nov. 8, a photo of a conversation between aespa member Winter and a fan on Bubble was posted on an online community and is currently a hot topic among netizens.
In their conversation, aespa Winter asked fans, "Did you eat plenty of delicious food?"

Her fans then responded, "Yes, you eat a lot too," to which Winter replied "You must have eaten a lot. Good, good."
The "Savage" singer went on to say, "Why are you laughing so hard? What's so funny? Wasn't it cute?"
For those living in the Gyeongsang province (aespa Winter's hometown), this was nothing more than a normal conversation as the female idol is using the province's dialect. However, some people are accusing Winter of using the "No" grammar and criticized her for talking like the users on the website Ilbe.

Ilbe is infamous for its users who stress freedom of speech and use that right to make controversial statements and trends, one of which is expressing hatred towards the late President Roh Moo Hyun and mocking his suicide.
In particular, the Ilbe users are known for using the "~no" grammar in their sentences to poke fun at the late Korean president.
In aespa Winter's "Bubble" conversation with fans, she used the "~no" grammar thrice: "olk manhimusno," "deundeunhageusno" and "wageuli usno."

The picture of the conversation between Winter and the fans has spread across various online communities and is arousing controversy among netizens.
This past October, aespa guested on JTBC's "Knowing Bros" and member Winter drew attention for her dialect tone. She confessed that time that she is from Yangsan, Gyeongsan Province and that she would speak in the province's dialect whenever she encounters someone who uses the same dialect.

aespa's 'Next Level' Becomes the Longest-Charting Girl Group Song on FLO Top 10 in History
Meanwhile, aespa has attained a new achievement with their recent single "Next Level" on the Korean music chart FLO.
On Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. KST, aespa's "Next Level" has marked its 3,943 hours within the Top 10 of FLO. It has surpassed Oh My Girl's "Dolphin," which recorded 3,938 hours.
Because of this, "Next Level" now holds the record for the girl group song with the longest time to spend inside FLO Top 10 in history.
Meanwhile, aespa's "Next Level" was announced as one of the nominees for the "Best Dance Performance Female Group" at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
The quartet is going up against ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning," Oh My Girl's "Dun Dun Dance," Red Velvet's "Queendom," STAYC's "ASAP" and TWICE's "Alcohol-Free."
aespa is also nominated for the "Best New Female Artist" and Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10.
