BTS V Reveals Love for Jazz, Gets Praised for His Exquisite Music Taste

Recently on Weverse, BTS' very own V went onto the global fan community platform to update fans of what he's been up to, and replied to several posts from ARMY.

During his time on the platform, V shared his love for the music genre, jazz, through a post. "I think it's a great blessing to be able to be moved by jazz," V said on Weverse.

Following his post, one ARMY also expressed their love for the genre, and asked V if he could give them any jazz recommendations.

And of course, as a musician who has exquisite music taste, V replied to the fan saying, "The 'Billie Holiday' came out today."

V's recommendation was referring to the 2021 American biographical film "The United States vs. Billie Holiday," which focuses on the life of American jazz and swing music singer, Billie Holiday, such as her rise to fame and the struggles she faced with her personal life, being a singer, and her drug addiction.

Although the film had been released since February, it only became available in South Korea on November 4.

Following V's film recommendation, "Billie Holiday" immediately trended on various social media platforms, even ranking at No. 6 on MelOn's real-time search.

That's not all! V also went onto BTS' Twitter account to share another jazz recommendation. In his tweet, he shared a link to Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong's "Now You Has Jazz" from the 1956 film "High Society," along with the caption "This is the video of my life. Let me share it with you."

After his recommendations, fans from all over the world expressed their admiration for V and praised his music tastes, and just couldn't help but call him a pure and beautiful soul for his deep love for the genre!

BTS V Wants to Release Jazz Music

This is not the first time V expressed his love for the genre! In fact, since he was young, V had already loved jazz, which manifested into him learning how to play the saxophone when he was in middle school. He had even mentioned that he would be a "saxophone star" if he wasn't a BTS member.

In an interview with Variety magazine, V also expressed his desire to collaborate with Grammy-award winner and American jazz singer Kurt Elling, who reciprocated the interest to release music with V.

Aside from that, V had also recommended other classic musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Sam Cooke, Andy Williams, Pat Boone, and The Platters, among many others.
