BTS V Dubbed as the 'King of K-Pop' by British Media Outlet

On November 16, a British media outlet announced the results of The Global Nubia Awards (GNAs) 2021. The event was held virtually on November 14, 2021, and featured nominees in different categories from all over the world. The nominees spanned various fields of entertainment, such as sports, music, film, and social media.

The GNAs are organized by Nubia Magazine, an international publication headquartered in the United Kingdom. The event was formed to showcase and celebrate talented and influential personalities in pop culture. Winners for each category were decided solely by votes from fans all over the world.

BTS member V scored big in the award show, winning the "K-Pop Idol of the Year Male (King of K-Pop)" award. BTS member V was up against big names in the K-pop industry for this award. Specifically, he was nominated against EXO member Baekhyun, ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo, J-Hope, GOT7 member Jackson, Jimin, Jungkook, EXO member Sehun, Suga, and SHINee member Taemin.

Nubia Magazine plans to deliver trophies to the announced winners for his win. Additionally, BTS as a group won "Pop Band of the Decade." HYBE Labels can expect to receive two trophies at their headquarters.

BTS V Won 'The World's Most Handsome Man' in October 2021

This is not the first time V has been awarded by this publication this year. Back in October 2021, Nubia Magazine held a global poll and survey titled "The World's Most Handsome Man." The survey lasted five months and came to an end on September 30, 2021.

The survey featured 20 attractive male celebrities as nominees, and over a million votes were cast from users in 183 different countries. The top voting countries in the poll were the United Kingdom, South Africa, Mexico, Russia, France, South Korea, the Philippines, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Japan, China, India, Taiwan, and the United States.

BTS member V ranked at the top spot, amassing over 600,000 votes from users in 168 countries. To celebrate his win, Nubia Magazine has released a certificate. The British magazine has contacted his agency to deliver the certificate as soon as possible.
