BTS has recently arrived on the red carpet of the 2021 American Music Awards, and during an interview, the boys shared what it means to them being nominated at the awards show, their "Butter" performance, and more!
BTS on the 2021 AMA Red Carpet: Septet Gets Interviewed by People
On Nov. 21 local time, BTS showed up at the 2021 AMA held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles City in the United States.
On this day, the K-pop boy group stunned many when they appeared on the red carpet in neat suits. RM, Suga and J-Hope wear grey suits while V, Jin, Jungkook and Jimin are in black suits.
On the red carpet of the 2021 AMA, BTS had an interview with some local media, including People.

To begin the interview, the band was asked to share what it means for them to attend and be nominated at the 2021 American Music Awards.
BTS RM responded, "It has been two years and now we have come full circle. So, it really feels strange to hear the noise and face to face without masks, so it means so much and it means even more because we're nominated for the 'Artist of the Year'."
In addition to being nominated at the prestigious American awards show, BTS is also set to perform two songs at the event including their recent English-langugage single "Butter."

During the interview on the red carpet at the 2021 AMA, the K-pop group was also asked to share what their performance of their No. 1 smash hit "Butter" will look like.
BTS J-Hope simply replied, "Our performance will definitely be one for the books," suggesting that their stage will be extraordinary.
Later on, People mentioned their collaboration performance with Coldplay and asked how that collab came about and what the best thing is about working with the British rock band.
BTS RM responded," Actually, the whole process was organic. Chris expressed his song as a gift for us. So, he came to Seoul to record together with us."
In addition to RM's statement, BTS V said, "The collaboration was great and relaxed.
People then asked the septet about their upcoming four-day LA concert, particularly how they feel to be back on stage after a long time.
BTS RM shared, "We miss the air. We miss the noise. We miss [seeing] actual people. We have never seen them [in person] for two years, so we're nervous. No words can describe how excited we are to perform." J-Hope added, "It means everything."

As the final question, People asked BTS what their go-to food is every time they are in LA. The group briefly responded, "McDonald's."
To end the interview, BTS was given the chance to give a message to the fans. RM said, "We miss you. We love you. We purple you."

BTS to Perform 'Butter' Alone as Megan Thee Stallion Drops Out of the Collab Performance
On another note, BTS will perform their No. 1 English single "Butter" at the 2021 AMA without Megan Thee Stallion. The two artists were initially set to take the stage together, however, the female artist recently announced that she will no longer join the group.
On Nov. 21, Megan Thee Stallion announced on Twitter that she will not attend the 2021 American Music Awards as scheduled due to a personal matter.
Megan was featured on the special remix of BTS's "Butter" that was released in August this year.
