'MAMAMOO 2021 WAW Concert The Movie' Slated to Premiere in December

On November 26, KST, it was announced that CGV, the largest multiplex cinema chain in South Korea, will be releasing a movie featuring four-member girl group MAMAMOO and their online concert held in the past titled "MAMAMOO 2021 WAW Concert The Movie" on December 3 KST.

"MAMAMOO 2021 WAW Concert The Movie" will contain the live performances from MAMAMOO's seventh anniversary online concert called "2021 MAMAMOO Online Concert 'WAW,'" which was held back on August 28, 2021.

The online concert also featured performances from the group's eleventh mini-album "WAW," which includes the title song "Where Are We Now," as well as 25 of MAMAMOO's hit songs over the years such as "Mr. Ambiguous," "Um Oh Ah Ye," "You're the Best," and "Starry Night," among many others.

In addition to the performances, the movie will also highlight the preparation process for the concert, as well as behind-the-scenes videos. So it is expected that fans can see a different side of the four MAMAMOO members: Wheein, Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa.

The movie will be premiering in 33 CGV locations in South Korea, with tickets costing 18,000 won ($15 USD) apiece. "MAMAMOO 2021 WAW Concert The Movie" will also run for a total of 102 minutes.

Aside from the movie, CGV will also be holding events such as the gifting of goods for the opening week.

Content Planning Manager of CGV Choi Jin Ho said, "I hope you can fully enjoy MAMAMOO's live concert through the theater's large screen and rich sound [system]. We will continue to present [various movies] in the future."

Meanwhile, CGV received a great response in the previous years by screening Grammy-nominee BTS' fourth documentary film, "Break the Silence: The Movie," and trot singer Kim Ho Joong's "Thank You: Kim Ho Joong's First Fan Meeting Movie."

This year, CGV screened indie rock band Guckkasten's "Guckkasten Live Concert: HAPPENING," Jannabi's "Fantastic Old-Fashioned Returns! X Nonsense II," and BLACKPINK's "BLACKPINK The Movie," with the latter also being released globally through special theaters such as Screen X and 4DX.

This year, 'Gukkasten Concert Live: Happening' and Jannabi Concert Live 'Fantastic Old Fashioned Returns! X Nonsense II' was screened, and 'Blackpink The Movie' was released globally through special theaters such as ScreenX and 4DX.

MAMAMOO Hwasa Makes Solo Comeback with 'I'm a B'

Meanwhile, Hwasa has recently made a solo comeback on November 24 with the release of her second single album, "Guilty Pleasures," featuring its lead single "I'm a B."

Written and composed by Gustav Landell, Simon Jonasson, Kristin Carpenter, and Musikality, with Hwasa, Hae Da Young, and Park Woo Sang working on the lyrics, "I'm a B" talks about being the light and surviving in an awful world.
