Choi Yena Embroiled in Sponsorship Rumors + Yuehua Entertainment to Perform Legal Action

On Dec. 2, Yuehua Entertainment announced that they have learned about the false information, malicious comments and slanderous posts about Choi Yena being spread on online communities and social media platforms.

The company continued that it will take legal action against malicious posts and will respond strongly without any settlement in the process. "We will do our best to protect our artists through reports from fans regarding malicious rumors and slander about our artists and through continuous monitoring," they emphasized.

Choi Yena is currently involved in rumors that Lee Jae Hwan, the chairman of Property Holdings and the younger brother of CJ Group Chairman Lee Jae Hyun, sponsored her from behind the scenes.

On Nov. 30, SBS reported that Chairman Lee Jae Hwan contacted a celebrity (A) through Kakaotalk. In a conversation released by the media outlet, Celebrity A asked the chairman, "Mr. Chairman, what are you doing?" and Lee replied, "I'm thinking about A."

According to other reports, celebrity A secured a permanent position in CJ Group's affiliated broadcasting shows after several conversations between Chairman Lee Jae Hwan and the CEO of CJ Group.

Even though the celebrity, who enjoys sponsorship from the Property Holdings Chairman, was unnamed, Choi Yena is being mentioned everywhere on online communities. Some people are citing that Choi was chosen as a fixed cast member in tvN's entertainment shows several times and that she also continued her YouTube activities.

In response to SBS's report, Chairman Lee Jae Hwan said that he has never helped A but, he did once tell an executive to contact her as he thinks she can be useful to him.

Concerning the conversation with Lee about A, the CEO of CJ Group stated that he has not the person who can report things to Chairman Lee Jae Hwan.

Choi Yena to Star in the Web Drama Series "World of My 17"

In other news, former IZ*ONE member Choi Yena has been chosen to star in tvN's D-original web dramas series titled "World of My 18," which is the second season of "World of My 17." This drama will mark her acting debut.
