With their first single album, "ELEVEN," IVE attained a remarkable first-week sales record that only aespa and BLACKPINK obtained in the past with their debut albums.
IVE Becomes the Third Girl Group after aespa and BLACKPINK to Set This First-Week Sales Record with a Debut Album
On Dec. 1, Starship Entertainment's new girl group, named IVE, made their highly-anticipated debut with the single album "ELEVEN," which contains two songs: "ELEVEN" and "Take It."
IVE is composed of six members namely Yujin, Wonyoung, Liz, Rei, Gaeul and Leeseo. Wonyoung and Yujin are known to be former members of the project group IZ*ONE that was formed through Mnet's "Produce 48" in 2018.

IVE's "ELEVEN" was dropped on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. KST and sold a total of 56,209 copies on the Hanteo Chart before the day ended. This is the second-highest first-day sales for a debut album by a girl group in history, bested only by aespa's "Savage" with over 147,000 copies.
On Dec. 2 at approximately 5 p.m. KST, the sales for "ELEVEN" ultimately reached 100,000 copies. With that, IVE became the third female group in history, following aespa and BLACKPINK to sell over 100,000 copies in the first week with a debut album.
BLACKPINK "SQUARE UP" recorded a first-week sales amount of 102,001 copies while aespa's "Savage" sold 276,877 copies.

Since it was only the second day of release when over 100,000 copies were sold, the first-week sales of IVE's "ELEVEN" are expected to increase in the following days.
Notably, "ELEVEN" has now claimed the record for the second-highest first-week sales on the Hanteo Chart, surpassing "SQUARE UP." It has sold more than 104,000 copies as of Dec. 2.
In addition to that, IVE's "ELEVEN" has become the first album and the only album so far by a K-pop group that debuted in 2021 to attain this milestone.

On another note, Starship Entertainment's new girl group successfully entered numerous music charts, proving their global popularity upon their debut.
On Dec. 1, IVE's "ELEVEN" landed on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at No. 22, which is the highest peak for a K-pop group that debuted this year. The song also entered the Top 10 of iTunes Song Charts in different countries around the world.
Meanwhile, the B-side song "Take it" debuted at No. 18 on the Poland iTunes chart and ranked No. 31 on the Thailand iTunes chart.

In South Korea, IVE's "ELEVEN" debuted on different domestic daily charts. It ranked No. 8 on Bugs, ranked No. 126 on MelOn, ranked No. 218 on Genie and ranked No. 402 on VIBE.
Moreover, "ELEVEN" entered at No. 61 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs chart in South Korea, making IVE the first K-pop group launched in 2021 to make it to the chart.
When it comes to views on YouTube, IVE's "ELEVEN" music video gained more than 9.8 million views, the biggest 24-hour view count for a K-pop group that debuted this year.
