Choi Yena Personally Responds to Malicious Rumors about Her Involvement with Jaesan Holdings Chairman

Choi Yena has spoken up about the malicious rumors involving her and the chairman of Jaesan Holdings through an official statement.

On Nov. 30, SBS released private messages between celebrity "A," who debuted as a singer, and Jee Jae Hwan, the chairman of Jaesan Holdings and younger brother of CJ Group's chairman Lee Jae Hyun. Some netizens speculated that the celebrity is Choi Yena, but the idol's celebrity Yuehua Entertainment shut down the rumors by announcing that they will take legal action against malicious rumors about their artists.

Choi Yena Responds to Malicious Rumors about Her and the Chairman of Jaesan Holdings

On Dec. 6, Choi Yena issued a personal statement through Yuehua Entertainment's official website. She began her message by saying that she initially hesitated to speak up about the matter but she eventually decided to write about it after learning that her name is continuously being mentioned.

The former IZ*ONE member added that she first discovered she was mentioned in a malicious rumor when she was looking at articles while enjoying a meal at her house.

Choi then stressed, "He's a total stranger to me, and I felt so speech and confused while watching over the whole situation in which my full name came up in a situation I wasn't involved in and as that [rumor] quickly spread as if it was real."

Choi Yena continued, "I'm just chasing after my dream and working hard on my job, so I don't know why I have to experience something so absurd." She then confessed that she's mad and upset that many people believe the malicious rumor with Jaesan Holdings' chairman.

"It also hurts so much to think about how much the fans must have been just as shocked as I was. I'm not the subject of that rumor. It doesn't even have the slightest connection to me. Please don't worry," the former IZ*ONE member emphasized.

Yena went on to say that she feels sad going through this experience, which completely affected her mental health. But, she ensures the fans that she will do her best and get rid of this unpleasant situation while thinking about the fans.

She further stated that she would work to impress people further as someone who can receive love with positive energy while staying strong and true to her nature.

Choi Yena ended her official statement by saying, "Winter has come in full swing! I hope that everyone no longer suffers from this situation. You all know, right? Please always take care of your health first!"

Choi Yena and Other "Idol Dictation Contest" (Season 2) Cast Members Reveal Preview

In other news, the new season of "Idol Dictation Contest" a spin-off of "Amazing Saturday," has released a preview video for the show's upcoming premiere.

Just like in the original show, the cast of idols is asked to listen to snippets of songs and write down the correct lyrics to win the prize of delicious food found across Korea.

Boom will act as the host of the "Idol Dictation Contest," and the cast will include Super Junior Eunhyuk, VIXX Ravi, Lee Jin Ho, Choi Yena, former Lovelyz Mijoo, Jaejae, and Stray Kids Lee Know.

The second season of the variety show will start airing on Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. KST. In the meantime, watch the preview video here!
