BTS J-Hope recently caught the attention of fans and netizens after posting a photo of him wearing a condom-printed T-shirt on his Instagram account.
BTS J-Hope Receives Criticism and Later on Praises for Wearing a Condom-Printed T-Shirt
On Dec. 8, BTS member J-Hope shared a photo of himself on his newly-launched Instagram account. Immediately afterward, several people criticized him for uploading the photo.

This is because the pattern on the T-shirt J-Hope is wearing is known to be a condom. In an online community, some netizens left comments, criticizing the male idol for wearing "inappropriate" shirt. Some of them are "BTS has many teenage fans. Is it appropriate for them to wear condom-printed shirts?" "I feel uncomfortable because the outfit is sensational" and "So dirty."
However, people's opinions suddenly changed when it was discovered that the condom-printed T-shirt BTS J-hope is wearing was created by the British retailer END together with the brand Pleasures launched by the American designer Alex James to encourage safe sex.
The T-shirt in question is called the Pleasures Short Sleeve Protection Button-Down Shirt. And, it features an arrangement of condoms.
Concerning this, END explained through their official website that the collaborative collection is advocating for safe sex "with their tongue-in-cheek streetwear collection." They continued, "Detailed with a variety of graphics inspired by prophylactics, the two brands celebrate a sex positive and responsible outlook."

Upon knowing this, netizens started to praise BTS J-Hope for advocating safe sex. A few of the comments were "Thanks to J-Hope, I got to know the campaign with a good purpose" and "It's indeed a meaningful outfit. I didn't know he was such a conscious idol."
This is not the first time that J-Hope has spread good influence through wearing clothes. In November last year, he made headlines after he was spotted wearing a 'freevolt" product in BTS's season's greetings. Freevolt is known to use the proceeds to help deprived children and disabled people across the globe.
Moreover, BTS member J-Hope uploaded a photo of a T-shirt created by the fashion magazine W Korea to spread breast cancer awareness.

BTS J-Hope is also known for his generous donations. In fact, he has become the 146th member of the Green Noble Club, a group of high-value donors who have donated over 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. So far, he has donated 700 million won.

In other news, BTS member J-Hope recently obtained a new milestone on Spotify. It was revealed on Dec. 8 that the "Butter" singer has surpassed eight million followers on the app.
With this, J-Hope becomes the first Korean solo artist to attain the mark. Also, he has now extended his record as the most-followed Korean soloist on Spotify.
Meanwhile, BTS J-Hope's most popular solo song on Spotify is "Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky G). It has more than 122 million streams as of press time.
