YG Entertainment Under Fire for BLACKPINK's Schedule in December

Back in October, rumors regarding a potential BLACKPINK comeback was ignited after media outlets reported of the group's comeback in the fourth quarter of the year following a report by the Korea Investments & Securities' review on YG Entertainment sales.

YG Entertainment later confirmed that the whole group will be making a comeback, however, the date has yet to be decided.

Despite that, fans were hoping that December would be the month that BLACKPINK makes a comeback and promote as a whole group.

Unfortunately, YG Entertainment drew out the ire among BLACKPINK's fans, BLINKs, after the label released the group's schedule of activities for the month of December recently on December 10.

When BLINKs accessed BLACKPINK's December schedule, they found that the entire month has no schedule whatsoever.

Numerous BLINKs expressed their frustration at the label, leaving comments such as "Like what the f was the purpose of giving us an empty schedule for??," "Is this a joke?," "They made this empty calendar for us to play tic tac toe," and "ITS LITERALLY AN EMPTY CALENDAR WHY WOULD YOU EVEN RELEASE ANYTHING???"

With that, it is likely that 2021 will become the first year since BLACKPINK's debut back in 2016 that the group didn't release any song with all four members together.

It has also been more than a year and two months since BLACKPINK's latest release, "Lovesick Girls," which was released back in October 2020 as part of their first full-album "THE ALBUM."

While members Rosé and Lisa did make their solo debuts this year with their single albums "R" and "LALISA," respectively, and Lisa collaborating with DJ Snake, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ozuna for the single "SG," fans were still hoping for a group comeback.

Currently, Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo are all focusing on their individual activities. More recently, Jisoo is preparing for the premiere of her first drama "Snowdrop," which will mark her debut as an actress and is slated to premiere this coming December 18 KST through JTBC and Disney+.
