Hanteo Chart to End The Year With First-Ever 'Hanteo Music Awards'
Hanteo Chart is the world's only real-time music chart operated by Hanteo Global, and it is also Korea's first music chart. On December 14, Hanteo Chart revealed through its official website that it would end the year with a music awards ceremony together with Whosfan.
The "Hanteo Music Awards" will take place as a digital ceremony in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The announcement indicates that the candidates for this year's Hanteo Music Awards are the K-Pop artists who released albums (physical and digital) from January 1, 2021 to December 7, 2021.

Moreover, candidates who had a huge impact on the K-Pop industry were selected based on the comprehensive score that comprised the data like albums, music sources, global social media platforms, and fandoms.
However, the Initial Chodong Record award is selected purely from the artists' physical album's Initial Chodong sales volume.
The official platform of the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards will be Whosfan.
Hanteo Music Awards' Categories
The awards ceremony is divided into five categories: "Initial Chodong Record Award," "Artist Award," "Rookie Award," "Who's Fandom Award," and "Special Award."
The results will be announced at 6pm on December 20, 6pm on December 27, 6pm on January 3, 6pm on January 7, and 6pm on January 10.
The awards ceremony is divided into five categories:

The Special Award
The First Week Sales Record Award will be given to the artist who has set the highest record for first-week sales in 2021.
Meanwhile, the Artist Award will be given to the artist who made the greatest influence on the success of the music industry in 2021.
The Rookie Award, on the other hand, will choose the best new artist who debuted in 2021.
The Special Award takes into account the global user data from Hanteo chart, along fan votes via the Whosfan app.
Lastly, the Whosfan Fandom Award is solely chosen by fans, and is given to both the artist and their fanclub for their online influence.
