In an interview with Japanese trainee Nonaka Shana, the soon-to-debut idol under MLD Entertainment, talked about her experience after joining Mnet's "Girls Planet 999." Along with this, Shana also confessed her love for TWICE and BLACKPINK Lisa, her favorite seniors & role model.
On the 26th, bnt Korea released previews from its interview and photoshoot with Nonaka Shana, a Japanese trainee set to debut as a member of MLD Entertainment's new girl group.
In particular, the debuting idol rose into popularity after joining Mnet's "Girls Planet 999," a group that created Kep1er. Though she failed to make it into the final top 9, Shana expressed her desire to debut in the first half of 2022.

During the photoshoot with bnt Korea, the female trainee flaunted her cute and lovely appearance. After the pictorial, Shana sat down for an interview, where she revealed her journey after moving to Korea from Japan two years ago at the age of 17.

With the desire to debut, she joined Mnet's survival show, "Girls Planet 999" and was eliminated during the finale at J04. However, she conveyed her happy experience from the show, especially the friends she gained from it.
"The filming schedule was really tight. Still, I was able to learn a lot in a short time and it was good to have a good experience. I became very close friends with Sheon (Suyeon) of "Billie" and Hikaru (Kep1er) so we keep in touch often. I also want to debut soon," she replied.

As the interview went on, Nonaka, a Japanese who aspires to become a K-pop idol also mentioned her favorite seniors.
"Even before coming to Korea, TWICE was famous in Japan and I liked them. I like TWICE's Sana. She has her own character and seems to make use of it well. She also spoke Korean so well. (In the future) I also want to get close to BLACKPINK's Lisa and IVE's Rei."
The trainee especially highlighted Lisa as her role model, and said, "Lisa seems to show improvement every time. Also, her performance is good, and I think she is almighty in everything such as singing and rapping. I always think that I want to debut and show that kind of image," showing respect for Lisa.
Lastly, she also conveyed her interest in aespa. "I'm so into aespa these days that I'm listening to 'Savage' a lot. The really unique concept and powerful performance are so cool. It's really good."
On the other hand, Nonaka Shana, who is set to debut in the first half of 2022 under MLD Entertainment avowed to become an idol who is honest and "Shana-like" rather than a decorated appearance.
