Billboard's Pop Airplay Chart is considered as the road to entering the Hot 100 chart as the number of radio plays holds a large part of a song's performance. For example, BTS first made the Pop Airplay chart with "Dynamite" and "Butter" before entering Hot 100 with the same tracks.
As a result, BIBI is expected to gain more momentum in her U.S. activities with her first entry on the Pop Airplay chart.
"The Weekend" is an English-language collaboration single between BIBI and 88rising. It expresses a girl's disappointment at someone who sends her various signals and eventually makes her feel underappreciated.
The single is accompanied by a cinematic music video that showcases BIBI's acting skills as a heartbroken lover ready to move on.
