BTS V's OST 'Christmas Tree' Breaks Records

The main theme OST "Christmas Tree" of the drama "Our Beloved Summer," sung by BTS V, is breaking a record.

The OST "Christmas Tree" of the SBS drama "Our Beloved Summer," released at 6 pm on December 24, broke a surprising record while carol songs occupied music sources around the world.

In particular, on the first day of its debut on iTunes in the United States, "Christmas Tree" surpassed Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," a legendary carol song, and it displayed the strongest sound source power side by side.

"Christmas Tree" and "Christmas Tree (Instrumental)" were ranked 1st and 2nd for two consecutive days, and "Christmas Tree" is maintaining 1st place as of December 28. Meanwhile, "Christmas Tree (Instrumental) is in 4th place, so V is breaking the record of posting two songs in the US iTunes Top 5.

With this, V became the only K-pop solo artist to debut at No. 1 on US iTunes with two OSTs for "Christmas Tree" and "Sweet Night."

"Christmas Tree" topped the Worldwide iTunes chart for four days in a row, proving its global popularity. This record was broken by V as a solo artist after PSY made it in 2013. Moreover, "Christmas Tree" topped the European iTunes charts for two consecutive days after its release.

V is the only Asian artist to take first place on both Worldwide iTunes and European iTunes charts and was recorded as the only member to simultaneously record number one on both US and UK iTunes charts with two songs.

After the release of 'Christmas Tree,' the carol song took over the charts, and in two hours, the shortest time in iTunes history, it topped iTunes in 50 countries. Currently, it is breaking the No. 1 spot on iTunes in 85 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, the UK, and the US.
