"Hello.
This is Big Hit Music.
We are taking regular legal actions against creators of malicious posts such as defamation, insults, sexual harassment, false information, and malicious slander about BTS. We will inform you of the progress in this regard.
We have recently submitted a complaint to the investigative agency based on the new evidences gathered through reports from fans and self-monitoring. We will be taking strong legal action against acts that attack an artist's personality without any basis and promote malicious rumors. In particular, we are taking all of the possible civil and criminal measures against the Youtube and DC Inside accounts that repeat these actions.
Even if the suspect does not use a separate account (username/nickname), he/she is subject to prosecution, and for the suspect who changes his/her nickname periodically, we have submitted a complaint by synthesizing the data written on the nickname used to far through real-time monitoring and account tracking. An additional complaint was filed against the suspect who continued to engage in malicious behavior without self-reflection even though they have previously faced an accusation.
Additional civil damages are being claimed against those who have been convicted of criminal acts. Recently, the court ruled in favor of compensating a fine of nine million won (around $7,500 USD) in a claim for damages filed against the suspects, and the judgment has been finalized. We will collect the amount of compensation until the end, and let those who commit the crime know that they cannot be exempted from responsibility, not only criminally, but also civilly, so that they bear the heavy responsibility for their actions. We will continue to take strict measures against malicious users to ensure that the malicious acts are not repeated, and we clearly state that there will be no settlement or leniency in this process.
We regularly collect, report, and take legal action against malicious posts made against BTS. We ask for your continued interest and active reporting through Big Hit's legal response account (protect@bighitmusic.co.kr).
We are always grateful for the love and devotion of fans to BTS.
Big Hit Music will make ceaseless efforts to protect the rights and interests of our artists.
Thank you."
