Yuehua Entertainment Teases Upcoming Debut of Their New Boy Group + Opens Their Official SNS Accounts

Yuehua Entertainment has started teasing the debut of their new boy group. The agency has also launched the band's official social media accounts.

Yuehua Entertainment Releases the Logo Film to Tease Upcoming Debut of Their New Boy Group

On Dec. 31 at midnight KST, Yuehua Entertainment retweeted two posts made by the Twitter account TEMPEST. One post features a logo motion and the other consists of links of different SNS accounts for TEMPEST.

TEMPEST turned out to be the name of Yuehua Entertainment's new boy group, which is previously known as Yuehua boys. They will be the company's first idol group in three years since EVERGLOW's debut in 2019.

Previously, it was reported that the label will debut a new male group in the first half of 2021. It was also stated in the articles that the company submitted a patent application for the term "TEMPEST" and the acronym "TPST" this past June. Many people believed that it could be the new group's name.

In August, the agency announced the closure of the fan café of the pre-debut duo Hyeongseop and Euiwoong (who are former contestants in Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2"). This resulted in speculations that the two will debut in Yuehua Entertainment's new boy group.

Apart from these two, former "I-LAND" contestant Hanbin is also expected to be part of the debut lineup. He left Belift Lab in June and moved to Yuehua Entertainment back in the same month. Many fans have been anticipating Hanbin's debut after he was eliminated from the show.

Further, it is rumored that four more trainees will join TEMPEST, which makes it a total of seven members.

In fact, Hanbin was spotted with other Yuehua Entertainment trainees, including Hyeongseop and Euiwoong, walking along the streets in August.

TEMPEST will be the agency's first boy group in eight years since UNIQ's launch in 2014, hence, many people anticipate their official launch.

Yuehua Entertainment to Take Legal Action against Malicious Rumors Regarding Their Artists

In other news, Yuehua has announced its plans to take legal action to protect the company's artists against malicious posts and defamation of character.

In their official statement, the agency said that they have become aware that several malicious comments and posts written with libelous intent about their artists are being spread on various online communities and social media.

Because of this, Yuehua plans to take strong legal action in response to these malicious posts to protect their artists. The label stressed that there will be no negotiation or leniency during the process.

The label went on to say that they will have continuous monitoring and consider the reports that fans have sent concerning malicious rumors and libel about the singers.

Currently, Yuehua Entertainment is home to EVERGLOW, WJSN (co-managed with Starship Entertainment), UNIQ member and former X1 member WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn), former IZ*ONE member Choi Yena, actor Lee Do Hyun, actor Kim Sungjoo (who is also a UNIQ member).
