Jay Park Reveals the Reason of Resignation As CEO of AOMG and H1GHER MUSIC
On January 3, the Yng&Rich Records YouTube channel released a video named "Jay Park Support Drop The Beat (translated from Korean)" where the rapper is featured.
The video features Jay Park sitting in his studio and rapping. Jay Park began rapping, he introduced himself through the lyrics.
He continued with his rap saying that everyone must be curious about why he has done his recent actions. Jay added that he decided to choose honor over money. He also expressed his love for AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC through his piece.
Last December 31, Jay Park announced that he has decided to step down as CEO of AOMG and H1GHR music, saying the reason that he will only act as its advisor from that day on.
The next day, in another video, he explained that 2021 has been a hard year for him. He added that it took him a lot of time thinking and a lot of emotions before deciding for him to step down as CEO of the entertainment labels.

He expressed his gratitude to all his fans for all the love and support they have given him through the years.
Moreover, in this video, Jay Park announced that he joined the hip-hop dance program, "Drop the Beat," a hip-hop competition program hosted by Yng&Rich Records. It will be released through the YouTube channel sometime this year.
Aside from Jay Park, Superby, UNEDUCATED KID, homies, and Dok2 will appear.
Jay Park Deactivates Instagram Account, Draws Speculation of Retirement
Last January 1, Jay Park deactivated his Instagram account all of a sudden, igniting the rumors about his probable retirement from the industry. This happened the day after the rapper announced his decision to resign as the CEO of labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC.
Before the announcement from Jay Park's now-deactivated account, he had posted a cryptic message on December 30 where he wrote, "If ever I retire or disappear, make sure that you will miss me."
Jay Park has been the CEO of both AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC since he founded them in 2013 and 2017, consecutively.
AOMG is home to popular artists Simon Dominic, Lee Hi, and GOT7 Yugyeom, while H1GHR MUSIC features pH-1 and Sik-K, and Jay B of GOT7.
Furthermore, Jay Park is set to launch his own soju brand, "Won Soju" by the first week of January. This also sparked rumors that the singer-rapper will be focusing on his business from here on out.
