BTS Jimin's Unpublished Pre-Debut Clip Where He Participated in a Freestyle Dance Battle Surfaces on SNS
In the clip, Jimin was seen joining a freestyle dance battle against dancers from Busan (his hometown), which was also participated by dancers from other regions.
The younger Jimin then appeared and showed off his amazing popping and locking skills to various songs, such as "Pon De Floor" by Major Lazer.
Although he was only a teenager at that time, Jimin's passionate yet smooth dance was already evident, and it was not a shock that he swept the first place even against adult dancers.

Media outlets from around the world (U.S., France, Spain, Brazil, and Indonesia) rushed to report the dance battle video that Jimin participated in when he was in the third grade of middle school.
"Many people know Jimin's ballet and modern dance skills, but not many people know that he actually learned street dance," foreign media emphasized, proving that the male idol's knowledge and skills in dance are truly vast. It was also analyzed that his popping and locking skills were also exceptional.
"As expected, Jimin perfectly performed all the movements. In particular, he performed and danced in extreme detail, which is a difficult technique to master in hip-hop dance, but Jimin performed it quite impressively and well," foreign media further wrote.

Since childhood, Jimin has accumulated various experiences from dance battles where he gained several techniques. On top of that, understanding and interpreting songs were already innate to the male idol, which made it easier for him to showcase extraordinary expression and agility.
As he grew older, BTS Jimin mastered all genres, such as modern dance, ballet, acrobatics, and martial arts and during his school days. He even sat atop the Busan Arts High School dance department for the first time.
Already a trained dancer, it is not shocking then that Jimin debuted immediately after six months to 1 year of training. This is a huge achievement as some idols even have to spend half a decade or even more before their debut.
Although Jimin wasn't immediately recognized, the male star just naturally shines and is currently reigning as a world-class "dance god" beyond K-pop by establishing an unrivaled dance area that no one can follow.
