On Jan. 9, BLACKPINK Lisa's "MONEY," the B-side song from her debut solo album "LALISA," has reached a notable number of sales in the United States and it shows how much love the song is receiving in the country.

It was revealed that as of that day, Lisa's "MONEY" has sold more than 500,000 units. It is the only song by a female K-pop soloist released in 2021 to obtain these sales.

Because of this, BLACKPINK member Lisa is now eligible to receive a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Also, this makes her the second female Korean solo artist to attain this milestone.

The first female K-pop soloist to sell over 500,000 units in the US is BLACKPINK Jennie with her solo debut song "SOLO."

Despite being a B-side track, BLACKPINK Lisa's "MONEY" is receiving great love from fans around the world since its release last September, even more compared to the title track "LALISA."

In fact, "MONEY" has been setting new records on Spotify when it comes to hitting certain numbers of streams in the shortest period. It is currently the fastest song to reach 100 million, 200 million, and 300 million streams.

In addition to that, "MONEY" made BLACKPINK Lisa the first female K-pop soloist to enter Billboard's Pop Airplay Chart, and the first two stay for two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, and five weeks on UK's Official Singles Chart.

BLACKPINK Lisa's 'LALISA' Becomes the Fastest MV of a Female K-pop Soloist to Hit 400 Million Views

In other news, BLACKPINK member Lisa achieved a separate feat with her title song "LALISA" on Jan. 9.

In particular, the number of views of the "LALISA" music video on YouTube has crossed 400 million on Jan. 9 at approximately 3:48 p.m. KST, and it is the fastest female K-pop soloist MV to do so.

BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" MV came out on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning the video took almost three months and 30 days to hit the mark.

"LALISA" has now surpassed BLACKPINK Jennie's "SOLO" MV, which took 274 days to hit 400 million views on YouTube.

Since it was released in September of last year, BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" MV has been breaking YouTube records. It has beaten the fastest records to reach 100 million, 200 million, and 300 million views.

It has also become the fastest music video of a K-pop soloist to surpass eight million likes on the platform. It went on to become the fastest MV of any soloist to reach nine million, 10 million and 11 million likes in YouTube history.
