BTS V's Self-Designed 'Mute Boston Bag' Makes History by Selling Out in 1 Second

Back on January 2, BTS and their label HYBE surprised fans when they announced the launch of their new set of merchandise called the "Artist-Made Collection," which features different products curated and designed by the BTS members themselves, and is sold through Weverse Shop.

The first set of products HYBE unveiled was a nighttime collection designed by the group's oldest member, Jin, which includes two different sets of pajamas and a pillow designed for those who have neck issues.

A few days later on January 11, HYBE finally rolled out the group's second set of merchandise, and this time, it's designed by V!

For V's set, his Artist-Made Collection includes different types of brooch sets. However, the center of attention went to his beautifully-designed Mute Boston Bag, which shows traces of V's personality, such as his signature color green, as well as a twilly (scarf) on its handle.

In no time at all, V's Mute Boston Bag became the most in-demand product on the collection, with many fans (also known as ARMY) preparing to cop one of the products.

Unsurprisingly, the moment V's collection went live on Weverse Shop, all of the products already went out of stock!

In particular, V and his Mute Boston Bag made history by becoming the world's fastest bag to get sold out, with the product - which retails for $168 USD - going out of stock in just one second.

In fact, V's products went out of stock even before HYBE was able to make an announcement about it through their social media.

ARMY Demand Restock on BTS' Artist-Made Collection

Many described the situation as a bloodbath, and even some celebrities joined in on the battle.

Critically-acclaimed Filipina singer, Lea Salonga, even took to her Twitter to share her experience trying to get the Mute Boston Bag, saying, "Sigh... I didn't make it. The bloodbath was real, everything sold out in less than 1 minute!"

She added, "So excuse me, I'm just going to cry in a corner to get over this heartbreak."

Fans also took to Twitter to express their disappointment with how fast the products went out of stock, with related keywords such as "sold out," "Mute Boston Bag," and more trending on the platform.

Aside from the Mute Boston Bag, the brooch sets also became sold out in just seconds. Minutes later, fans went on to demand a restock of the products due to its high-demand, with "restock" trending on Twitter.

According to HYBE, it seems that Suga is the next member to unveil his products.

Despite the lack of stocks available, congratulations to V for a successful merchandise launch!
