Samuel Kim Reportedly Signed with a New Agency after Leaving Brave Entertainment
On Jan. 17, the Korean media outlet Hankyung released an exclusive report stating that Samuel Kim has signed an exclusive contract with Big Planet Made after in-depth discussions. The company is quite new in the industry as it was only founded last year.
Big Planet Made is known to be the new agency of former GFRIEND members Eunha, SinB and Umji, who are set to debut as the label's first girl group called VIVIZ in February this year. It is also currently home to former SISTAR Soyou and male soloists Huh Gak and Ha Sung Woon (a former WANNA ONE member).

Samuel Kim left his longtime agency Brave Entertainment on Jan. 13 after reaching an agreement to terminate his exclusive contract.
As of press time, neither Big Planet Made nor Samuel released an official statement to officially announce the male idol signing with the label.
Meanwhile, Kim has previously commented on his future activities following his departure from Brave Entertainment. First, he thanked the fans (generally called Garnet) and everyone who supported and waited for him through the long hiatus due to his lawsuit against his initial label. He then said that he will do his best as if he's starting from scratch.

Samuel Kim's Music Releases under Brave Entertainment
Before Samuel Kim signed with Brave Entertainment, he was a trainee under Pledis Entertainment. In fact, he trained alongside the current members of the boy group SEVENTEEN and was supposed to be part of the band but he left in 2013.
In 2015, Samuel debuted as half of the hip-hop duo named 1Punch, together with rapper One. His stage name at the time was "Punch." The duo released their debut album "The Anthem" featuring the title track "Turn Me Back" on Jan. 23. Unfortunately, 1Punch disbanded after One was scouted by YG Entertainment.

In August 2017, Samuel Kim made his solo debut under his own name. He dropped his first mini-album "Sixteen," which contains six tracks including the lead single "Sixteen" (feat. Changmo) and the famous B-side song "With U" (feat. Kim Chungha). The debut album sold over 34,000 copies in South Korea.
Kim made his first solo comeback in November of the same year with his first full album "Eye Candy," consisting of 10 songs including the lead single "Candy."

He then dropped his second mini-album "One" in March 2018. The album's title track, "One," features former BTOB member Jung Ilhoon. More than 16,000 copies of the album were sold in South Korea.
Samuel Kim's last music release under Brave Entertainment is his repackaged album "Teenager," which arrived in May 2018. The album has eight tracks, one of which is the title song "Teenager" feat. Lee Ro Han, a runner-up to Mnet's "School Rapper Season 2."
