IVE Gaeul Goes Viral for Her Hair-Flipping Skills in Dance Performances
IVE is currently the top rookie girl group who debuted recently in December 2021. Since their debut with their first single album "ELEVEN," featuring a title song of the same name, IVE has been making numerous records and continuing to stay at the top of trending topics both in South Korea and around the world.
While media outlets have been focusing on IVE members Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin, as they are former members of the "Produce 48"-formed project girl group IZ*ONE, fellow member Gaeul is also receiving attention.
In particular, a video of Gaeul that was originally uploaded by Youtube channel 1theK back on December 23 has been making waves on social media platforms, which features IVE performing a stage break to Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande, and Fifth Harmony's songs "Me Too," "7 Rings," and "That's My Girl."
In this video that went viral in South Korea, numerous netizens couldn't help but be amazed by the "Eleven" singer's amazing dance skills and her ability to maintain her balance well during high-intensity dance moves - which is no wonder she is part of the group's dance line.

However, what definitely caught netizens' attention was Gaeul's top-notch hair-flipping skills while performing "That's My Girl," with many expressing how Gaeul is amazing for having great control over her hair and facial expressions while doing such a move.
In fact, hair-flipping has become a trademark move for the young idol, with Gaeul still looking well put-together and neat despite doing a move that could definitely make a mess of one's hair, making it more satisfying to watch.
In addition, it has become one of the key details in IVE's "Eleven" choreography.
Netizens have also compared Gaeul's hair-flipping skills to that of aespa's Karina when the latter performs their debut track "Black Mamba."
Some comments included, "Gaeul is the master of hair-flips," "Gaeul has good control of her neck," "If she can control her hair while dancing, that means she has the qualities of a main dancer," "This is a small but very important detail, as long hair is likely to cause trouble while dancing. But Gaeul controlled it effortlessly and made the performance look attractive," and "She reminds me of aespa's Karina," among many others.
Do you think Gaeul has mastered the hair-flipping move?
