When Minzy first made her entry in the entertainment industry as the lead vocalist, lead rapper, and main dancer of 2NE1 back in 2009, she was subjected to numerous criticisms regarding her weight despite her incredible talent - which can be due her naturally round face.
With both her former agency YG Entertainment and the public pressuring her to lose weight, she eventually had to go on a restrictive diet and strict workout regimen through the years.
More than 12 years later, Minzy now boasts a gorgeous and healthy figure, standing at around 161cm (5'3") tall and maintaining her weight in the 46kg to 50kg range.

When it comes to Minzy's workout routine, Minzy had to workout a lot during her rookie idol years, with her past workout focusing on cardio and boxing based on YG Entertainment's in-house trainer's planning for the 2NE1 members.
But now that she is a solo artist and has free reigns, Minzy revealed that she now focuses on more stamina and strength-based cardio exercises, as well those that increase her metabolism.
Of course, true to her passion as a dancer, Minzy's main form of workout is through rigorous dance practices, which helps build her stamina, lose excess fat, and make her body lean.
In fact, Minzy often posts dance practice videos on her social media, and has even revealed that she lost 6kg to dance practices alone due to her "fiery choreography" during her promotions for "Teamo."

While it is unknown how long her dance practices usually are, a standard among idols would be at least an hour and a half.

When it comes to Minzy's diet plan, the idol said having a positive mindset and eating healthy has become an integral part of her life.
With that, one of the food that she likes to eat is a salad. But of course, she doesn't restrict herself like she did in the past, and likes to eat whatever she craves as long as she consumes it in moderation.
